Army All-American Game

Watching the Army All American game...so far Seantrel and Prater have both been interviewed and said they are now waivering with USC. Even though Seantrel hasn't committed, he said things are "very different" with USC now. Prater was supposed to enroll early on Monday and is now flying home instead of to LA after the game. Thank you Mr. Carroll. Dillon Baxter is there, but they did not interview him yet.

Hampton to South Carolina. How Spurrier is still pulling in top end talent after 5 years of mediocrity just amazes me. Guess the Ole' Ball Coach still has some magic pull.

They just said Urban Meyer has been calling every recruit every day. Didn't TomVH mention something about it being a no-contact or light contact only period or something when talking to Tony Grimes?

I once found a one eyed dog on the side of the road while storm chasing. Somewhere in north Texas I think. It was one of the nicest dog's I've interacted with. I'm glad I don't storm chase anymore. I would have been bring back stray dogs on every trip. Less than two much until my puppy gets spayed...

how people can abuse animals....my aunt runs a shelter here in michigan. her shelter is the one that got all of the chihuahuas from that house in dearborn....i forget how many had to be put down because of infections from what they lived in, but it made me sick...

I didn't have the chance to stick around, but I'm mostly sure she belonged to the near-by farm. There wasn't any kind of collar or tags but she looked at least half cared for. In my experience she looked to happy to be a true stray, but was just mostly left on her own (and ever so happy to have someone pet her). Another time, I found a ~6 month old shepard mix in the middle of nowhere in Kansas, miles and miles from any house or farm. I wanted nothing else to take her back with me, but I was in the middle of field work and I would be chasing for another month. It sucked.

I'm going to think good thoughts about both of those dogs and hope they're okay. It's really nice that you take the time to pay attention to animals like that. I love animals more than anything, and I absolutely can't stand to think about them not having warm, loving homes or food. When I went with my friends to adopt their dog Elle from the Huron Valley Humane Society this summer, I had to go outside a couple times because I was so overwhelmed by all the dogs and cats without homes. I thought I was going to cry. It absolutely breaks my heart!

our 3rd dog (11 month old puppy) because my wife felt the need to save a dog that day... usually i just say ok we can go to a shelter and she looks and i kind of talk her out of it, mainly because i'm like you and i want to save them all. but this last time we got to see gizmo in a room and he jumped up on my lap and i was sold....

is Tony Drake officially out of the class? does the recent loss of this #8 Rivals APB give Baxter even more motivation to go Blue? Watching Baxter in the AA game gets me dreaming of years with DGardner- DBaxter in the backfield......

I don't think Drake is officially out, but the general consensus is that he most likely won't make it. I would think that Baxter wouldn't be too worried about the decisions of other recruits, he did just win the National POY award. DGardner - DBaxter would be ridiculous.

Word on the street in the last few weeks is that SHARRIF FLOYD wouldn't have qualified at OSU (and therefore likely not at Rich Rod's Michigan). Florida is the best place for him.

Is just plain ridiculous! We're hoping for a chance at someone like Baxter (who would be an amazing grab) but Florida just keeps piling on studs. Here is what their class is now with a chance at Elam & Powell still to come in this game: http://rivals100.rivals.com/commitlist.asp?Year=2010&School=21 With Carroll leaving I imagine they are also very much in the hunt for Prater. Although rated 4th on Rivals atm they will easily move up to #1 after this game today.

Their class, on the defensive side of the ball at least, is ridiculous. Floyd and Easley looked like the most impressive players at these all-star games. Elam on top of that. Joshua Shaw and a host of other 4 stars. Loaded.

when I saw TCU's hat on the same table as Tennessee, UNC, and one other big state school, that the kid would pick TCU. It seemed so out of place that it had to be the one he would pick. I'm sure he had his reasons for going there, but it seems like academically and extra-curricularly(?) the worst of the four schools. And yes, I think he'll be a diaper dandy for TCUROTC.

Marcoux the QB has looked amazing. If I am not mistaken this guy didn't have any BCS scholarship offers coming into the game. That will change, he has been the best QB and a stud.
