Looks like the maize on the helmet does not match the maize on the uniform number.

The maize on the number look much lighter.

It is not the highlighter yellow the recent years, but a less intense sort of maize that is not as dark as the maize on the helment.

Actually, the maize on the number looks closer to the maize used used during the Bo, Moellerr, Carr eras (before the adidas era) than the maize on the helmet.

I don't like them. I love the idea of helmet stickers (and they work well on a lot of helmets), but they don't work with our helmet. It's too cluttered.

That said, it's not for me -- it's for the players -- and if it gives the team the extra motivation it needs, then I'm all for it.

Are they exact replicas (size, design, shape, etc) of the stickers from the late Bo and Moeller eras?  They look like exact replicas to me, or at least very close.

Anyway, since the theme of the road uniforms are relicas of the '74 road uniforms, relica stickers makes some sense.

While I, like many others, prefer the clean, uncluttered look of our helmets without stickers, I don't mind this change. If these stickers somehow create additional competition amongst the members of the team, and inspire one another to greater performances, that's fine by me. They allow for a little bit of recognition for the players who regularly perform well, but may not be well known by the casual fans.

They are fine but should be 1/4 the size.  An All American shouldn't be able to fill the helmet and at this rate some players will have a full helmet half way through the season.

I know what you mean though. There shouldnt be as many after a L IMO.

I would say in general:

I would say TFL for DL and LBs. Maybe big 3rd/4th down solo tackle or INT for a LB too.

QBs should only get it after a W, multiple if big game and W

WRs for great blocking or big TDs (impactful, game wiinner)

DBs for breakups, screen destruction

OL for NO sacks or Braden for that pull and block at the end of the half..etc

RB for big games, big blocks

I grew up on Bo's Michigan (went to my first game in 75 as a 5 yr old). So to me the stickers are a welcome return to the Michigan I grew up with. That said, I don't see what all the fuss is about. If the players and coaches like them, why would any fan feel compelled to be so against them? Is your professed love for our "look" so important that you'd sacrifice a motivational tool? Isn't that the same old Form over Function debate that's been debated for eons? Again, I'm fine with them or without. I happen to like them, but *shrug* who cares.... Worry less about how we look, worry more about how we play.
