OT: Friday evening Beaver and brew thread

Submitted by sadeto on
Are you ready for some Beaver? I know I am. Eagerly anticipating the first home game under Harbaugh, I am consuming a 2011 Ridge Three Valleys Zinfandel blend, a very fine wine. I rubbed some ribs which will go in the smoker very early tomorrow, made some burger patties, and marinated some wings in Korean bean sauce. My three German buddies Weihenstephaner, Schneider, and Aventinus are chilling in anticipation of game time. At the stroke of midnight this will go from a day of painful remembrance to a day of hope and excitement. Raising a glass to you, my fellow Wolverines. What are you drinking?

Basically treated this as a Posbang. I can't wait to see JH pacing the hallowed sidelines tomorrow. I think I'm even more excited about tomorrow than I was about Utah. So glad it's a 10am game here. Frozen pizza and some generic red wine with the wife tonight. Then it's watch the game at Lodo's in Denver with the local chapter and some friends. Then home, and steaks on the Weber kettle. More wine. Think victory!

Little Sumpin' Extra Ale, but not too many because I have to work in the morning. I shouldn't have volunteered to come in, but whatever. I have a radio and MGoBlog, so I'll survive.

answer is 5 boys, only 4 of whom are old enough to play football. have actually processed plenty of bison (have real bison horns here at the house, for instance), but none of it grown on our farm.   good meat.  nice flavor.  its kind of a novelty item to sell and they tend to take a bit longer to grow/age properly though so i have held off on starting a herd.

The OP's taste in fine German beer is exemplary. Weinstephaner is my favorite. Working on some Black Rocks  coconut brown ale, brewed in Marquette, and my standard, Keweenaw pick axe blonde ale. Will be working on some Tim Hortons along about Fenton on the way down in a few hours. It's almost time to quit drinking and go to bed.
