Michael Taylor
After watching yesterday's UA All-Star Game, we need to keep working hard to SNAKE OIL Michael Taylor from his Tennessee commitment. He was the beast MLB we are desperately missing, and I would put him as important as closing Sean Parker or any other outstanding recruit at this point. Imagining him and Furman roaming the field together gives me a semi.

Sends chills down my spine thinking about what the opposing offenses would have face.

is the alum QB from the late 80's. Nothing is written in stone until Signing Day but this kid was quoted yesterday as really looking forward to being on campus (TN's campus). I don't think he'll be wearing a winged helmet,

That's the Michael Taylor I thought this thread was about when I opened it. He also does regular spots on WTKA.
Random speculation about stealing recruits who have shown no inclination to come to Michigan is futile.
Also, as noted elsewhere the snake oil reference is getting way overused.

The Michael Taylor who played QB at UM would have fit into this offense extremely well. His only problem was that his hands were too small to get great leverage on a football. He had a rifle-arm on the baseball field, but couldn't get velocity on a pass to save his life.
Despite that, he still found a way to move the ball when he played. He was very fast and extremely intelligent. If he had larger hands, he may have won a Heisman and a National Championship. He was that good.

Recruits say whatever they think they should say.
We need only to look back to last December and the Shavodrick Beaver situation to see that kids change their minds (or flat-out lie) right up to the last minute.

He might be wearing a gold one though

Did anybody else think this was going to be about Michigan's 87-89 QB?

I hate to say it, but we really need some beastly linebackers like OSU. I'd kill to have the defense they have. If we combined our offense with their defense, *cringe*

Ummm, I personally don't even like the thought of anything Michigan being a part of anything OSU. Sends chivers down my spine.

Ohio State fans are like STD's they are dirty, easy to find, annoying, and often involve irritation and redness.

From what I read on most recruiting sites Michigan is supposedly still very in his recruitment and one of the sites even said he was NOT solidly committed despite his comments in the interview. I'd honestly trade him and Hankins for the Grimes / Murphy combo. Not that they aren't good players or I wouldn't be excited to have them, I just think we need the other two more at this point.

I dont think he ends up coming here, but I would be ecstatic if he choose M. Hes a true LB and thats something that we dont have in this class.
