Very pregnant wife going to Oregon State game with me, any special accommodations at the Big House?
Any other Mgodads have had experiences at a game with a pregnant wife and if any special accommodations were made? I figured I'd just chat with the usher when we got to our section, but would be great to know if there any special services she might be privy to. Thanks.

That Brandon is gone or you may have ended up on Pizza House "Labor Cam" on the big screen.

Still need to be vigilant though. Dave will be lurking outside the stadium with Geoffrey the giraffe and Babies R Us coupons.

No chance you'll find that +1 seat when lil' Bo makes an early appearance?

Well I'm definitely not an MGoDad, but as an MGoWife/Mom I just wanted to say that you sound like a fantastic husband and father. That you care enough to ask about this is pretty great, so kudos to you! If your wife is as huge of a fan as it sounds like then I can't imagine she would want to miss Harbaugh's first home game. I know I wouldn't, even if I had to waddle to my seat (yes, we know we waddle, but please don't point it out to us if you value your life)! 30 weeks is definitely doable, she's probably starting to get uncomfortable, but it's not unbearable yet and a couple hours will be fine if she can get up and walk around every once in a while. I think checking into the ADA seating is a good idea too!

We get our tickets, go to the game, when we went to the gate they brought her a wheel chair and took us to our seats. We were right between the upper and lower sections. All four of us had seats (folding chairs) together. There was always someone there checking on her to see if she was alright. When the kids and I went on a food run, an older gentleman working at the stadium sat with my wife talking with her.
From the ticket office staff to the staff at the stadium, everyone was incredibly helpful and nice. My wife was a causal fan before - more going to games just to be involved in my fandom, but that day went miles with her in her respect for the people at Michigan.
When we got back to Iowa and she told her doctor (Iowa grad), he was amazed at what the Michigan staff did and said "well, you wouldn't have gotten that at Kinnick" Her response "that is why we are Michigan fans"
So, long story, just because you don't have a disability sticker or something like that, don't hesitate to reach out and ask if they can help you out to make your wife's day a bit more comfortable.

Hopefully with Brandon gone you won't be charged for an extra seat if she happens to deliver when UM goes up by 21 at half time...

Deliver the baby in-game if need be.
Be a proud parent as they are linked to M forever.

My wife was 8 months when we went to the Sugar Bowl. We drove from South Florida and she made it. You will get some smack talk down the road how you made her go to a football game but other than that enjoy the memory.

of some sort? Does Michigan have "Medical" spots? If not, you are out of luck, but maybe get there early and pay for the best parking available in case you need to leave during the game.

All last season. We are season ticket holders and she didn't miss a game. The university didn't necessarily have any special accomodations, things we did:
- Make sure she stays hydrated, lots of water
- Pack your patience, there will be frequent bathroom stops.
- Later in the season there was one game we parked a little closer just to help her out
- As a courtesy, warn the people in your row, it doesn't completely take away the annoyance but it helps to tell them in advance that you're considerate of them but can't help it. Most people will smile say congratulations and work with you.
- If you tailgate with others, let the pregnancy diet restrictions be known so there is something there for her to eat, if not make sure you bring something yourself.
My wife didn't complain much at all. She loves the team as much as I do.
30 weeks is going to be fun and pay extra attention to the water with the summer heat and 110,000+ packed in. Hope you two have a blast.
