No thanks to either.
BYU should be played at Noon because of time zone advantage and so should the game against sparty because all games should be at noon, forever.
My opinion has zero to do with Brian's. I love noon games for many reasons.
I'm stressed all day leading up to the game. I'd like to get the win early and then relax the rest of the day knowing Michigan won.
As a student there, I was no fan of noon games.
Saturday hangovers with load noises were the worst. Hair of the dog helped.
I agree, except this year I was less stressed and more resigned to the impending doom I was about to watch.
3:30 games are the worst when you have kids and it blocks out the middle of the day.
With kids' sports and activities all day on Saturdays I'm forced to record the game and tell everyone I know that I'm "in the bubble" and pray that no one says anything to me all day. And of course, like clockwork, someone I work with or barely know texts me sometime during the day with "Congrats!" or "rough game" and I fucking hate it. Completely ruins my day and makes watching the game irritating. And I can't not look at texts because of coordinating rides or coaching crap for kids.
Night games for west coast fans are a dream come true. Can actually watch live and not miss important kids' events.
However, when I lived in Michigan, before kids, I loved noon games. Loved waking up early (hangover or not) and getting excited for the game. Had student tickets for 8 years (90-98 (skipping 94) undergrad and grad) and loved every noon game (except a few that I won't mention. OK, top 2- the Desmond MSU "dropped" 2pt conversion and when McNabb dominated. But otherwise almost always good feelings.)
And actually noon games on the west coast were great before kids. Kids. Such sacrifice....

You sure about that? I have a pretty long list of Michigan noon games that says otherwise.
To name a few: The Game 1997, 2003, 2007. Those all decided the Big Ten Champion and two of three were Top-5 matchups.

...a marquee night game each year. Especially if it ended like UTL.
I do agree with WD on the BYU game though.
So glad I did
I have crazy emotions still when I watch the Gallon play: 1) I swear it looks like he was going to stumble and fall after the catch, and I tense up watching it; 2) I keep waiting for the flag on Roundtree at the end of the play for what looks like a clip.
I still tell people about experiencing just about every single one of what I like to call my "sports emotions" in the last 1:40 or so. Had I been at home instead of the game, I am pretty sure that the middle of that probably would have involved some fairly prolific drinking somewhere and then some beer spilled out of joy when Gallon thought with portals and caught that pass.
I'll never forget the atmosphere inside the Stadium when I got to my seat. 40 minutes before kickoff and the place was damn near full. I'll never forget how the football gods helped us out on the field and in the skies. I'm sure most will remember but it rained almost every day for a week leading up to that Saturday. In fact, it poured rain on the way into AA the morning of the game. The sky cleared and the rest was history. Beautiful night for football. The feeling in the air was like no other Michigan game I had attended. The excitement after the Vincent Smith TD was unbelievable. Of course who can forget how amazed the crowd was after the game. Not sure what to do. Leave, stay, sing, cheer. My buddy and I stood there for 45 minutes and took it all in. That night I'll never forget.

Just turned on BTN full of excitement...only to find teams adorned in various shades of red. Boo! Perhaps you meant Pacific Time? UTL on at 11pm Eastern.
Just missed it! I tuned in to watch highlights of Biakabatuka vs the Ohio on B!G Elite.

also had a lot to do with that 11-win season in 2011.
But yeah, Denard!
How does one manage that?

Looks like a mod docked 20k that was supposed to last a month back in April, but points pretty much do what they want when we try to get them to expire. Added 20k to his account since he served his time.
