Some of the 11W staff seem to think there is a grassroots movement in Detroit to keep players out of Ohio St. Somehow they are ok with them going to Miami, but not Ohio St.

You can play 30 minutes away from Detroit in Ann Arbor or 4 hours away in Columbus for a team that's hated in your city. Alabi would have never seen the light of day with 17 DL at Ohio and would have a better shot at starting at Miami. Hope Weber comes back but I'll understand if not.

I wonder how much of that movement is coming from Wheatley, Harbaugh, and company. They've obviously made some strong connections already, especially at Cass Tech, that are going to pay off with future classes.

Damon Webb was going there regardless. Alabi didn't get an offer from us and wasn't recruited that hard by us. Weber was committed here and only flipped when things were going south so they have a long ways to go before they become an Ohio pipeline.

Jefferson would be a huge pick-up but I think tomorrow is going to be special. I am usually pessimistic with the unknown, but reading between the lines on all of these recruiting websites, I'm guessing Harbaugh is about to truly announce his return to Michigan. A recruiting expert/anlayst said he expects UM to finish strong and on 11W their analyst is concerned that something major is going on and they may very well lose Weber and Alibi. He even eluded to the fact that Weber and Alibi have strung them along intentionally. Could it be that we land Jefferson, Marshall, Clark, Weber, and Smith? Are they all silent commits? It may be wishful thinking, but it seems that some of those in-the-know are showing concern that this may be happening. Fingers crossed.

A quality get that feels good after Treadwell went to Ole Miss. Not saying they are equals in talent just saying it kinda feels like a little pay back.
