Bosch on the right with Mason Cole and Jack Miller.

247's Steve Wiltfong is reporting that Michigan OL Kyle Bosch is set to transfer.

Bosch started on and off as a true freshman as Michigan struggled to put their 2013 line together, then competed for a starting job last spring. He dropped off the radar in favor of a lineup with Jack Miller at center and Graham Glasgow and Erik Magnuson at guard, played one snap in the opener, and then went on a medical/personal/mental health leave for the remainder of the season.

He's back on campus now but is apparently going to light out for greener pastures with Michigan returning its entire starting five and Magnuson. Michigan still has two redshirt sophomore guards in David Dawson and Dan Samuelson, so Bosch's departure doesn't create any alarming gaps in the OL progression. It does increase the urgency for Michigan to find two or three capable prospects before signing day.

And to rest of you, get a grip and quit the bitching. I know that mommy and daddy told you that you were "special," and you did get a trophy every year you played rec soccer.  However, not all news is good all the damn time.  Sometimes refs screw up, sometimes you don't get the S&C coach that you thought you were getting, and, yes, sometimes kids leave the football team - even if they just tweeted something nice about Ann Arbor.  None of that means that the world is ending or that there has been some dong punching change to our luck.  (By the way, stop attaching your emotional well being to things said by college kids on twitter.)

Hope he doesn't come bite Michigan in the ass at his next school. Re: the coaching staff, I was all excited about two or three dudes I had never heard of before they were allegedly coming to A2. Now, I get to be excited again, about another bunch of guys I've probably never heard of. It's a win-win. I'm not going to let anything deflate my Harbaugh balloon.

Too bad. Really thought he was back in Ann Arbor for good after his leave of absence.

Glad he feels better to at least keep playing somewhere else. Would've been nice if he could've spent a little more time with Harbaugh/staff to see if it could've worked out. Best of luck to him.

Here's to a new beginning and hope everything gets right off the field. Brady and UM usually did the right things with several kids who had off field issues. Just speculating, but perhaps a transfer closer to home would help positive transition to the next stage of his young life.

We have Jim Harbaugh for Christ's sake. Let's just put this in perspective. No reason to fret with these support staff position coaches changing their mind or B-quality players exiting for personal reasons completely unrelated to football.

Nobody gave Noah a hard time or had ups and downs when animals didn't join on the boat. They died if they didn't join. Same is true of these clowns.

It's the equivalent of Col. John "Hannibal" Smith putting together the A-Team. Nobody remembers who could have been on the team, turned down an offer to join, etc.

We're on a path to greatness. Let's have some faith.

Could be getting info about Trevno's intensity and borderline psychotic approach and isn't digging it. Wouldn't think he'd make that decision at this juncture though. Whatever, best of luck to him it just opens a spot for another guy.

Sucks he's leaving, never know when an injury or something else can put you in a starting spot. Would be nice to have him for depth, but good luck to him wherever he lands.

Ya it's going to be very interesting to watch this new regime unfold. All these O linemen that we've brought in over the past three years that we all thought would really pan out but never did or took forever to under Hoke. Now we have a guy who specializes in that position group so I'm optimistic about what lies ahead for that unit!

Maybe he transfers to the school his dad coaches or to a school close to home and that might help fix whatever problems he had last semester. That would make sense.

This is how you kick somebody off the team without ruining their ability to land a position on another college team.  This is the equivalent of Dave Brandon's "resignation".

Bosche had some serious issues and his presence on the team is ultimately a detriment to the team.  Brady Hoke protected him and wanted to do all he could to help him get better.  Harbaugh doesn't have the same sympathetic nature.  It's time for Bosche to go.

Thanks for your ignorant judgment but I know EXACTLY what is going on, down to every intricate detail. I know EXACTLY why he was gone all season. I know EXACTLY what the events were preceeding his departure. I know EXACTLY what Hoke did in that situation and I know EXACTLY what Harbaugh's response to this giant mess is. You sound like an ignorant bitch.

Everything is for a reason. It could be that he was concerned about his student/career? Maybe he didn't like where the coaching staff was going.....I doubt that though. His personal reasons last year was enough to put football second on his priority list so I'm thinking that's got a lot to do with it. It only opens up the chance for H4 to land a great recruit for the future. It's a blow to the team and fans to a certain degree but, it is what it is and there's still plenty of excitement to enjoy!
