Well, if OSU is going to challenge that, the position of the Gatorade barrel is probably in danger of being questioned too, along with whether or not the bench is parallel to the sideline. That was a real head-scratcher to me.

with 5 minutes to go in the first quarter the Illini have yet to play an offensive snap past their 15 yard line, with most within the 5 yard line. Oh, and now Iowa caused a safety, so 2-0 here in Champaign, back to you MGoblog...

early before everyone gets to their seats (in their living room seats) early. Says to me UM will hang with Ohio early because of their defense but with the usual 2 to 4 interceptions it should be in the bag for OSU after your second beer.

Let me just say that it is very kind of Minnesota to let Ohio State practice successful third down conversions - it's a vital skill and the Minnesota defense is doing some solid mentoring right now.

Ohio State now had 196 total yards of offense and we're still in the 1st quarter, of course.

Miss St. has a dual threat QB yet is basically a power/physical team.Michigans version of manball uses a Fullback & 2 TE's.Give me the Miss St. version every time.As you watch the games today notice how few teams use a fullback.

Ohio State's record over the year has shown them to be a very good, but not great team. They have one impressive win over a team that was also very good and not great. I don't think Michigan will beat them, but their resume is not very impressive. I expect a good game in Minny today.

I think OSU will beat Minny too, I would just not expect them to roll away early in the 3rd or something. It should be a one or two score game. Same thing with MSU and Maryland. The big ten has lots of teams in the spectrum of mediocre to good without significant seperation. People might call it "balanced" and not very impressive nationally.
