OT - Kansas Fires Charlie Weis

Was 2-2 this year, with a couple years remaining on his contract. This sounds familiar.

They need to be physical and play smash mouth manball!
Any ideas who can bring that to their program?

Brandon is going to use the 'Morris incident' to consolident his power and use Hoke as the scapegoat (which he is anyway) for the shit show Brandon has created. Brandon will be on the phone all morning with the big donors and power players of Michigan football making sure they understand how outraged he was at the Morris handling and that Brady should go. The result being Brandon stays in power with stronger allies than before.
I believe he is that much of a weasel.

I believe the term you're looking for is "crapweasel".

Only if those he is talking with are morons.....DB was the guy who advocated for Hoke the most by far. He hand picked the coach who is leading us down the rabbit hole to mediocrity. If he survives this, he has somthing on the donors.....something bad.

I believe that Brandon is an even worse weasel. The whole Morris episode will end up on Paul Schmidts shoulders. Hoke gets a suspension, and Schmidt loses his job.

Today is also the 1 year anniversary of Lane Kiffin being fired at USC. The day has a bit of an ominous feel to it, though I feel like that's almost wishful thinking in that it would require competence from the people in charge at Michigan.

Please do not hire this man. He's proven that he's not a HC.

What kind of decided schematic advantage does manball give us?
September 28th, 2014 at 2:22 PM ^
thus giving us a better chance of not being blown out.

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick made Charlie Weis a LOT of money.

Doeren's a Kansas native and was on KU's staff for three years under Mangino. I think he's somebody that would warrant consideration from U-M if Hoke is let go.
September 28th, 2014 at 11:05 AM ^
Kansas is probably a step down from NC State. Don't know that home ties would be enough.
But hell yeah he should be a candidate here.
September 28th, 2014 at 11:33 AM ^
Yeah I agree, but that shouldn't prevent KU from making the attempt.
September 28th, 2014 at 12:44 PM ^
He hasn't proven that he can build a program and win consistently.

I'm starting to understand the definition of "Fat-Chance!"
September 28th, 2014 at 11:02 AM ^
...if Kansas sits the next one out. Understands that, it's Kansas, it's not going to be good. hire someone to a 3 year/$2.5 million deal and just suck it up for 3 years while paying their next coach less than $1 million per.
Or go find someone who's willing to take even less, but with really high incentives...that way if you do happen to win, you're paying someone his worth. Mangino would come back for 3 years and his university ID reactivated for his meal plan, wouldn't he?

September 28th, 2014 at 12:52 PM ^
So Kansas has higher football standards than Michigan.
September 28th, 2014 at 1:15 PM ^
So if he can get fired for lack of progress on the field, does that mean Hoke can be fired for backward progress on the field?
September 28th, 2014 at 1:33 PM ^
I think Notre Dame is still paying him and now Kansas will pay him not to be there. I wish I could fail as well as Charlie. The only one better at failing is Kiffin.
