let me just say that I think valuable screen time is wasted on sadistic Ramsey... It is HBO after all..
I guess,

It's in the books too. Well, they don't explicity show it, but they talk about Ramsay's "Hunts", and to be honest it wasn't as bad as it couldve been.

what do you make of the look exchanged between Tyrion and Olenna right before Tyrion gives Joff the cup?
Then you also have Dontos grabbing Sansa...
I am intrigued to see which direction the show goes with this.

Who else has a greater reason than Sansa? They basically wiped out her entire family, forced her to marry Tyrion, and then publicly reminded her of the destruction of her family.
If it isn't Sansa it's Tyrion.

I would like to point out that you may know what you know cause you read the book, but on the TV show you don't know do you? There are have been countless plot points changed by the producers and this could be one...
I would like to cite the look between olenna and Tyrion right before Tyrion gives Joffery the cup... I think Tyrion was in on it in the TV show.

ps. you guys have got to stop confusing the books with the show; we are three seasons in almost as much is off as it is on from the books...

are you trolling me? or are you serious? IDK...
Some pretty important things have changed including people living, people dieing, Robb's entire season two campaign... hell tonight there were at least 4 deviations from the books...
so are you ignorant or are you trolling me?

Anyways, I doubt people will read through 7 pages of comments. One need only look at the last post to gleam that no one really knows for certain.
I did read on another site that Oleanna was indeed the culprit. She would make sense as no one would think of her. They would suspect Tyrion and Sansa. The truth is that Joffery, his mother, and grandfather infuriated a lot of people. It could be any number of people

The really hardcore fans have been known to come up with some bizarre and totally implausible pet theories on things. The book gives a pretty straightforward answer to the question of who killed Joffrey.

I suspect Sansa will go for a bigger fish. She will get revenge in some fashion.

but the books arnt finished either. So basically anything could still happen.

Get hype?

I agree, especially after she went over to Sansa and pick pocketed one of her jewels from the necklace, and when Geoffrey was slicing the pigeon pie, Olenna was standing by his cup and could have easily slipped it in. I think Tyrion had nothing to do with it.

A group of people, none of which are Starks. Probably will be explained in the next episode.

Well. Awesome episode. It wasn't quite the sword to the belly by Sansa that I had hoped for, but Joffrey died a painful death and I'm happy!
Now Cersei needs to go!

Still, I think things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get better. I'm a non-reader, but I feel like this really paves the way for Tywin to assume complete power and make life a living hell for everyone who isn't a Lannister.
Still, great, great episode. Setting up to be one hell of a season.

But you know its the mark of a great actor when everyone praises his character dying in the most painful fashion.
For quite a while I've thought that Jack Gleeson has been doing one of the really elite acting jobs in this whole show. Peter Dinklage got the Emmy, and not to take that away because he's outstanding, but his part is sort of award-friendly and I feel like some of the lines he gets are targeted for popularity. But if I had to pick the actor/actress who I thought was doing the absolute best job, best of the best, Gleeson, hands down.
