We really have fantastic coaches. It’s a great time to be a Michigan Wolverine.

I remember Juwan going to the college world series too... Guy loves Michigan. Super cool to see how genuinely excited he was for Harbaugh and the team

In the video, Coach Howard shares a long hug with Andrel Anthony. I thought I remembered there being some buzz about Andrel potentially being a two sport athlete at Michigan, so I assume that he must have met Juwan previously.
A little googling confirmed that Andrel was considering playing hoops at Michigan at one point and is also good friends with Kobe Bufkin:

I had the same reaction. Hopefully JH1 lets him play for JH2 if he has the opportunity.

I love coach Howard, what a great ambassador for the program!

It's impossible not to like Howard. He looked as excited as the players after that win on Saturday.

Howard appeared to be as happy as Harbaugh on the sidelines.
We have two phenomenal coaches who are here for the love of the University, not the money. They will both be here for a long long time and it’s awesome

Give a lot of love to Warde who didn’t screw it up despite all the pressures to do so

I was wondering how Howard found Harbaugh in the crowd, but then I remembered he's a foot and a half taller than everyone else, lol.

Howard seems to show up a lot of non-basketball events, which is great really. He absolutely loves being here and it shows.

The man legitimately went to women's golf.
That's all you need to know.
...and not on some, I want to be seen stuff. He went because he ran into the student-athletes and they invited him. Unplanned, not for show, wasn't even an invite from the frickin coach.

May want to include "Juwan" in the title. I wasn't sure if this was Juwan or Des.

This plus the video of him congratulating Jim Harbaugh on the field.
"They said you can't beat Ohio State. Now what?! {fans all around echo "NOW WHAT?!!!}
..gets me choked up every time..
I love how invested Juwan is in Michigan. I don't know if his career aspirations extend beyond college, but it's so cool to see him genuinely enjoy being here. He's seems like a classy guy who brings just enough of that Fab Five brashness to get you pumped.

At first I thought Juwan was issuing a challenge. Like, "You beat Ohio St. But you have more to do."
After looping that clip at least 50 times, I think it was more of a congratulations for getting monkey off back.
Either way, both those guys represent the University as well as we could hope. Could you imagine that scene ever happening between Rick Pitino and Urban Meyer?

Honestly, it's kind of nice that it can legitimately be both things and neither one is bad.

There's a difference between having a mercenary coach-for-hire like Larry Brown, Urban Meyer or Brian Kelly, and an alum who has success at the collegiate and pro levels as a player and is now a successful coach. Coach Howard and Coach Harbaugh are genuine. It's so much easier to sell the team that you played for and the university that you attended. Kids don't have to wonder if you're going to take off for the next great college opportunity, leaving your assistant coaches to find out via a news story as they walk out of a prospect's house.
Videos like this take it to the next level, though. They show that these guys aren't just here because it was the next available opportunity on a journey to the top. They're here because they truly love the University of Michigan. This is the top.
This is team. This is family.

Being successful, distinguished alumni, both coaches can truly say they were once part of and continue to be part of...
The team, the team, the team!

Love ya, Juwan!
