I don't get it.  I thought all the guys that tested positive that made them stop activities are still ineligible to play for another two weeks.  That would mean they still can't play versus OSU.  I'd assume that means UM has the opportunity to not play since they are likely at the threshold.  I hope they take advantage of that, but maybe they'll take their beating like a man and accept it just so OSU doesn't say I told you so.

15 "student athletes" tested positive. Across all sports. If the 5% team metric was exceeded (~4-5 players), football pauses for a week. If the 7.5% general student athlete population metric is exceeded...and that's a huge number... all sports pause for a week. Seems to me that The Game is trying to be preserved by what happened last week. I just want to see Scarlet, Gray, Maize and Blue for the holidays. But apparently, it's going to take a friggin' Xmas miracle.

I know we’re all sort of dreading The Game, and especially dreading that Fox is going to turn it into a 4.5 hour monstrosity that will just detonate each of our Saturday afternoons. Let me help you:

1. find a friend/family member who doesn’t care.

2. DVR the game.

3. Text aforementioned individual at 3:30 - is Michigan winning or within 10?

4. If yes, watch, skip commercials, Michigan might lose but at least they’ll show up.

5. If no, continue on with your Saturday and pat yourself on the back for your wise decision making.

Given the presser scheduled for tomorrow, where Jim and apparently four Michigan players will be made available to the media -- wouldn't that seem like an odd prelude to an announcement of a cancelation?

I'm just wondering if we'll get a definitive answer tomorrow on the status of the game or (perhaps more likely), some coach/playerspeak about how they are all "really working hard in preparation and they remain hopeful that the game will happen."

So we are going to play OUS down at least 12 covid players plus everyone already sitting out with a true freshmen QB (if Mixon and Cade are actual hurt).  The press conference to announce the 3 year extension after a 40 point lose should be great not to mention the mine set of the team going into what should be a winnable cross over game but one in which most players will check out.  I can’t wait for the next 2 weeks of football.
