E.  You choose to live in a state of cognitive dissonance and denial because a coach won a lot of game for your beloved program.  It makes you unable to unbiasedly assess the character of a man who has plenty of skeletons in the closet.  It's not your fault, most people don't want to shit on things that bring them joy.  Your inability to look in the mirror, or in this case, the sense of identity you draw from OSU football in an honest way regarding Meyer is not uncommon.

May the rest of your life be so blessed (even if intellectually dishonest) and all your delusions reinforced into perpetuity.

The fine balance of arrogance and obsession with an opponent that has detonated on your entire program for the last 20 years is quite a sight.

Pure Michigan.

Hadn’t heard this news last night when I asked a friend and OSU fan for his take on Urban’s “retirement”. His view (which probably reflects what he’s read elsewhere) was that he would eventually be AD. Perhaps this is just a prelude.

Hopefully with Meyer remaining in the background, his presence and some meddling can cause some division inside the OSU football team locker room and become more disruptive. Urban will be in the shadows and some players will remain more loyal to him than Pat Day. This can only lead to disunity which could lead to distraction and maybe a few more regular season losses including to Michigan...only wishful thinking but I don't see how this helps the OSU cause. I did start out by saying "Hopefully..."
