I ran into an Exterminator wearing an OSU hat. I thought it was apropos considering OSU exterminated Michigan a few weeks ago.

One of my first experiences upon moving to SoCal was refrigerator shopping. Most rental apartments don’t come with refrigerators out here. I thought that was very strange. So I went to Sears to look for a fridge. A sales guy struck up a conversation with me. I mentioned how I just moved from Michigan where I never had to buy a fridge for my apartment. He responded by telling me that he too had moved from Michigan where he had been - I’m not joking - a professor at MSU.

Pretty funny. The number one choice of sports apparel among bangers in L.A. is Dodgers gear and yet it’s also worn by multitudes of regular folks from little kids to old ladies. Trust me, those hoodlums have a way of knowing that your Midwestern ass isnt part of a local Crip set.

but...but...but...what are we going to have to live in fear of if this is not true?! Are you saying that LA is mostly safe and I WON'T get stabbed just for going to Safeway with a Michigan hat on? That's awful reckless. I'm going to go back to my raised-ranch in mid-Michigan and pretend that you didn't say that.

MEMO TO SELF: Next trip to California, keep each of those caps in the closet at home. (I've got at least one cap from each of those teams.) Take the New England Patriots cap, or the Denver Broncos cap, or the Montreal Expos cap, or the Baltimore Orioles cap, or the Colorado Avalanche cap. . . or maybe just stay out of Los Angeles.

I'm pretty sure the Bloods would think my on vacation, middle-aged white guy, socks n' sandals, M-hat wearing look makes me a member of a very specific neighborhood street gang.
I get that this had a Michigan reference in it, but these videos always seem to be engineered to manufacture white hysteria that black and brown people are dangerous.

Thank you! You are appreciated.

No. Just gang members are dangerous.

Yeah. I love how the news always shows those skin head gangs on pieces like this.

I am just here for the announcement concerning public service announcements.
I mean, is it a quality issue? Are there too many of them? Too few of them? Are they not about the right topics? We need to know.

Wow, me and the wife spent a week in L.A. last October, and we stay Block M geared up on vacations. That's why Gus Johnson yelled Go Blue when he seen us checking into the hotel in Beverly Hills.
The gang information is good to know, but I've never really traveled east of Hollywood on my trips out there.

Am I the only guy that would pick his gang based on the team that I get to rep? "Oh, you're gonna fuck me up unless roll I with you? What team are you repping? The Marlins? No thanks; I'm going to keep looking around."
