Is Isaiah Hole an Insider/Worth following? (Ed: Yes)
[Ed-Seth: I changed the title of this thread because it originally mentioned a notorious hack, and having both names in the same sentence does a disservice to Isaiah Hole. The short answer is Yes, Isaiah usually knows what he's talking about and is worth a follow because he has independent sources that nobody else gets. Original post follows]
Over the past couple of weeks I've been listening to these guys. Do you guys consider them good sources for info. Also who would you consider the best insider for info.

Black Ghandi, eh? Hahahahaha

I think most of these "insiders" talk out of their arses tbh.

Has Yoder ever admitted how wrong he was on Runyan?

James?

I have no idea why 247 let Hole go or why rivals hasn’t picked him up. The guy takes his job seriously and just plugs away. Very trustworthy. It feels like he just hasn’t caught a break, but when he does he will have a solid career.

Counterstrike is THE place for insider info duh. Enjoy your time here newbie. ;)

If you're paying to read, listen, or have them come over to your house and personally tell you all about recruiting, don't waste your money.
Really, is there need for anything but MgoBlog? 56 regular posters who get every recruiting tidbit onto their feeds, it's posted here in ways that would make Julian Asange and the KGB jealous, and completely accurate!

Why are Hole and Yoder being put in the same sentence? The first is a legit reporter and the second is an attention-seeking yahoo.

I totally thought that read Isaiah Hole and James Yoder insiders are not. Now Im disappointed it doesnt say that.

agree with all those who say isiah hole yes; yoder no f'in way.

Yoder is the Zach Smith of the recruiting world. I mean this in the sense that his notoriety lies only in his repulsiveness.

Yoder is a poor man's nobody. His sources are Sam and Steve Lorenz' Twitter pages, MGoBlog, and the Free Press.

These two guys shouldn't even be in the same sentence.
Isaiah Hole started out as a credentialed photographer and made friends with a lot of players that way. He worked for 247 who kept having to promote him despite not actually needing another insider. Finally WolverinesWire began mostly to have an outlet for Hole's content because with Sam and Steve at 247, Isaiah was capped out there. In that process Isaiah graduated right past any chance we could hire him (I'm pretty sure we tried at some point), but I consider him a friend, a friend of the blog, and one of the best journalists to join the Michigan beat since I've been on its periphery.
James Yoder=Ace Williams. He's a total hack--the guy behind Chat Sports. Block him.

Yoder is great if you don't pay for the paywalled sites. You just have to understand that when he says "my sources tell me" he's just gathering up all the paywall info and then passing it off as his own.
He's also weirdly cocky (in that false confidence way, like when a kid in gym class with a baby carrot for a dong is the one loudly proclaiming he's wielding the hammer of Thor), so understand that by accepting his free info, you're taking the tool of a human as a side effect.

Well this is fun

?? I bet.
Hey keep it up, I enjoy your content and pods. Thanks

James Yoder is good for one thing, and one thing only. Reading me premium information off of sites i don't pay for on my ride home from work.
You can give that four Harbaugh heads because it is an F A C K FACK!!!
But yeah, he seems like a douche.

Taking info off line and then reading it back on Podcasts just seems like plagerism. Wonder why he doesn’t get sued over this?
December 17th, 2018 at 6:03 PM ^
Hope you’re not referring to me here.
December 19th, 2018 at 3:55 PM ^
He is referring to Yoder.
