I’ve wondered this too. I’ve never seen it. And it’s fucking ridiculous
December 1st, 2018 at 11:57 PM ^
Do any other head coaches wear cleats during games?
December 1st, 2018 at 11:40 PM ^
hmmm. Urbs is running up the score?
December 1st, 2018 at 11:42 PM ^
Ohio state it throwing up 14. What are they doing? Trying to ice the game? Everyone knows you only throw the football for special occasions. Why throw when you don’t “have” to.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:42 PM ^
Thank God for Beilein
December 1st, 2018 at 11:43 PM ^
Sadly with our style of play, difference in the narrative. OSU, up 14, but hasn't played very well. UM, up 14, we are controlling the clock and body pounding them to defeat.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:44 PM ^
Haskins isn’t bad
December 1st, 2018 at 11:44 PM ^
Going for the Heisman Dwayne? I hear you can change the play at the line so it must be true.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:44 PM ^
Haskins is pretty good
December 1st, 2018 at 11:45 PM ^
How nice it must be to have top athletes everywhere making plays for a prolific offense... ugh
December 1st, 2018 at 11:45 PM ^
He’s good. His coaches put him in a great spot to succeed as well.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:46 PM ^
Haskins is ok. Don't understand the hype. Watch him struggle in the league big time. Simple fact that OSU scheme hasn't produced any good QBs. He won't be different. Good luck to him thougj and good riddance.
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:13 AM ^
Haskins is ok. Don't understand the hype
Yeah, breaking Drew Bees' record is a result of being a system QB. It's all scheme.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:46 PM ^
They're gonna get thorson killed...
December 1st, 2018 at 11:47 PM ^
OSU offense is Big 12 ish. Northwestern has not lost by more than 14 and they held Michigan to 20. Did you know Michigan scored 39 vs OSU?
December 1st, 2018 at 11:47 PM ^
OSU finally blitzes now?
December 1st, 2018 at 11:47 PM ^
Didn't notice any other teams today subbing out multiple offense players after each play.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:54 PM ^
lol, this is funny. What recruit on O would want to come play for this staff and scheme when you watch all these other options!?!?
December 1st, 2018 at 11:48 PM ^
Maybe they should have taken Purdue seriously.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:50 PM ^
Crazy to say it but OSU majorly underachieved this year.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:51 PM ^
If they had lost by even 10 to Purdue, they'd be in the playoffs...
December 1st, 2018 at 11:52 PM ^
OSU fans agree- but w/o meyer there wouldn't be a great team to waste
December 1st, 2018 at 11:50 PM ^
kinda like the fact that Fitz isn't taking a time out- what a wasted practice
December 1st, 2018 at 11:52 PM ^
It’s 11:52 and Ohio State still sucks. Boomer Sooner!
December 1st, 2018 at 11:54 PM ^
you do realize that, historically speaking, a "sooner" was a cheater- right?
December 1st, 2018 at 11:57 PM ^
Currently speaking too.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:53 PM ^
I think the 4 best teams in college football regardless of records are Alabama Clemson Georgia and Oklahoma. Notre Dame didn’t beat anyone but us. That was the 1st game of the year. But I think the 4 teams getting in are Bama Clemson N.D. And Oklahoma.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:54 PM ^
Agreed
December 1st, 2018 at 11:59 PM ^
Completely agree...
Hoping it plays out like this:
Cotton Bowl: Alabama v. Oklahoma
Orange Bowl: Clemson v. Notre Dame
Sugar Bowl: Georgia v. Texas
Rose Bowl: Ohio State v. Washington
Peach Bowl: Florida v. UCF
Fiesta Bowl: Michigan v. LSU
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:26 AM ^
Oklahoma might be #8. Any one of the top 7 could beat them handily imo.
7 on 7 would be another story...
Who did Clemson play to get so many accolades ? They played 2 ranked
teams and won by a total of 6 points.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:54 PM ^
I blame Maryland. It could have changed a whole lot
December 1st, 2018 at 11:58 PM ^
If Oklahoma lost today, I would’ve been sour. Yes, Big 10 title would’ve been sweet, but making playoff would’ve been very realistic winning big 10 even with 2 losses.
Our fanbase needs to understand we should never root for them to win. People wanting them to be better when we play is crazy. It will work itself out. Clemson is fine playing an awful ACC group this year.
December 2nd, 2018 at 8:03 AM ^
Exactly. Sam Webb was harping on his show for weeks about how we should all want OSU to win out before The Game so they’d be as highly ranked as possible when we played them.
Hope he liked what he got. This is exactly why you want them to lose.
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:02 AM ^
So sad that we have to hope for other teams to take care of our business for us.
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:45 AM ^
Maryland had a chance to win that game. Then we could have stamped our tickets to Indianapolis. It's not sad or emotional, just the truth. And that happening would have been a lot of fun.
December 2nd, 2018 at 1:02 AM ^
Beating osu would have accomplished the same thing and that happening would have been way more fun.
December 2nd, 2018 at 1:50 AM ^
We didn't come close to beating OSU. Maryland was close. They had the chance
December 1st, 2018 at 11:56 PM ^
After much drama, the day ends just like we thought it would: Alabama vs. Oklahoma, Clemson vs. Notre Dame.
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:00 AM ^
Northwestern had a much better gameplan defensively and still gave up 45, maybe 39 wasn't enough.
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:30 AM ^
NU played well but have only one or 2 guys who would even be starters at M.
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:05 AM ^
Jesus if we get stuck playing Florida for the 18th time...
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:16 AM ^
more like Georgia, LSU, or UCF
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:11 AM ^
UCF should be #4.
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:13 AM ^
I agree- but OSU has this going for it: Big Ten teams have beaten Big 12 teams this year so strength of schedule can be argued
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:31 AM ^
No, you have to play in a real conference. They only have to get up for a couple games.
Now - if you want to go to the 6 major champions and 2 more then I hear you. But get rid of the conference title games first.
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:45 AM ^
You mean like B1G where OSU only get up for one game and just sleepwalk through the entire conference? B1G has two good teams and the rest are trash.
Clemson played a bunch of nobodies in the ACC. Pac-12 are pretty bad overall. Big 12 is solid despite the defensive reputation. SEC has two great teams.
December 2nd, 2018 at 3:58 AM ^
I actually would like to see that this year: the four undefeated teams. UCF versus Alabama in the first round. That would either shut them up for years, or if the miraculous occurs, would show that G5 teams can hang with P5 teams.
Oklahoma and Ohio State cancel each other out with their great QBs and offensese, suspect defense. To bad they can't play each other--first team to 100 wins!
Shutting three of the P5 conference champions out of the playoffs will bring an expanded playoffs (or blow up the whole thing) in no time.
