Chris Webber and John Beilein did NOT meet on this past weekend
Ouch. The saga continues.
John Beilein said he did not end up having a convo with Chris Webber while he was here. Their paths did not cross.

Beilein said he’s still hopeful all former players feel welcome here.

John needs to get Xtramelanin to speak to C-Webb for him. He had no problem finding him.

I must have missed the XM/CWebb interaction from Saturday. What went down?

Go to the Weber thread from this morning. He was at his tailgate.

Not trying to stir the pot - but can't see those two having a lot in common for small talk.
Kind of like Snoop Dogg meeting Mr. Rogers.

I would say you're full of crap because that's not true.

Care to elaborate on why a basketball analyst and ex nba and Michigan star wouldn't have things to talk about with a great basketball mind and Michigan coach ?

If it's a race thing, they can always talk about Tyler Perry movies. Those Madea movies are good fun for everyone.

They could always swap their favorite Ted Valentine stories.

But Snoop and Martha Stewart... oh hellz to the yeah!

Here's an awesome Chris Webber interview from Rich Eisen today. You can hear in Webber's voice how much this weekend meant to him. Hopefully Coach B and Chris can link up sometime in the near future.

It’s great to be a Michigan Wolverine. That was awesome.
Sounds like it was Harbaugh who made this happen. Further evidence of how much he means to the University.

Chris still clearly dances around some topics, but glad to have him back in the fold, in whatever capacity we can for now. Next step, get him to a basketball game.

Great interview - thanks for posting!

That was awesome. So glad Harbaugh did what needed to be done. Go Blue!

I must be in a minority that really doesn't care at this point. He brings as much baggage as value and thumbed his nose at the school for a very long time. Wouldn't bother me if he stayed gone.

I totally agree. He’s welcome to come back, but no love lost if he chooses not too. The red carpet has been laid out so long it is getting dingy and ready to be replaced.

You two are insufferable. Webber is very likely the single most important Michigan athlete of the 20th century. His teams literally invented a new way of doing things that changed the trajectory of college sports and brought tremendous prestige to the school. So proud that our coach recognized this and rightfully honored him.
