My recommendation would be to solicit feedback from variety of users...5-10 of us, and priorize some usability improvements. These people should cover the spectrum of the types of users they have, and I think they should build of set of personas based on talking to users and design around their needs. From my experience, this rollout has made reading much less conventient - both from mobile and web .

He's really making an impact on that NW staff. Great career move getting out from under beilein. I don't think anyone predicted that they'd be .500 at this point in the season.

My respect for him was reduced by 1/10th.
|10/20/2017 - 4:27pm||Did you watch the games last year?||
Because it seems like you didn't.
Here's a quick recap.
We are 9-0, ranked number two in the nation playing on the road at Iowa, winning.
Then we can't rush for a single first down (our offensive line couldn't close it out), Darboh couldn't catch a well thrown ball, and a penalty that shouldn't have been called gives iowa field position to kick a game winning field goal. Plus like 10 other plays that would have allowed us to walk away with a win. The best teams struggle in a game or two every season.
Then, we learn that our starting quarterback broke his collarbone in that Iowa game. So we had to go on the road against OSU, expecting to do it with a guy that couldn't do anything against Iowa. But our QB (Speight) comes back and leads his team (Michigan) to what should have been a win at Ohio State if not for a very controversial call on 4th down (Look it up on the internet)...Throw insome incredibly unlucky/inonsistent officiating, maybe give us a call we deserved, or take away one of our unfortunate turnovers and, yeah - we're undefeated and in the B1G championship game...

He sort of looks like a big Vincent Smith on this play.
|10/06/2017 - 1:02pm||I understand the skepticism||
But, him transferring sucked at the time - I always thought he had a ton of potential. Had he yet reached it, no. Is it possible he can? Yes. We were all super high on him at one time.
|10/05/2017 - 6:35pm||It's his dad||
He just playfully teasing him and embarrassed of him as any son would be.
|10/05/2017 - 3:41pm||Without going too far into this||
I think that it is important for all of us to recognize the significance of the timing of him coming out to his father. I don't think his choice to do it on that night was a coincidence, and would lead me to believe that he needed strength and acceptance from his family to help him through what was likely an upsetting and fearful night for him. This fear can't just be written off as attributable to trolls, or a small segment of our population.

This thread has given me a little bit of faith in humanity.
|10/02/2017 - 4:10pm||Video version of UFR||
Have you guys considered creating a video version fo the UFR where you annotate the video and stills and narrate?
Sometimes I have a hard time seeing the cuts that you think the running backs need to make, and I think that it would be pretty awesome to consume the UFR this way - an extended highlight real that really focuses in on key plays and assigments...

I think I'll have to spend the evening re-reading these...I'll get back to you.
|08/28/2017 - 2:48pm||I'll allow myself to be negged a bit more, I suppose||
Disclaimer - I think that Brian is a great writer, I appreciate everything they do on this site and love the philosphy. This article didn't pull me in like some of the past ones have - it felt like a pretty big stretch as a metaphor. Also, I missed this key point:
At this point I urge the reader not to get all judgy about the destination.
I judged the desination - I saw Korn written 50 times and my mind shut down.
With respect to previous content, it's possible that I'm a bit more eager for the season to begin that I've been in recent years and just more desperate for info, but I've just felt as though we haven't gotten any of the more interesting analysis focused specfically on the team that I've been used to. And when I say that, I am including camp rumors and the like that are often later debunked but are satisfying at the time. Maybe it was an editorial choice on their part ot limit some of that because it's often just crap.
|08/28/2017 - 12:22pm||This is||
This is, without question, the worst preseason content this site has pushed out in the 10 years I've been reading it.

McCaffrey passing Peters only means that he's going to be better than Andrew Luck and follow in Jimmy Clausen's footsteps and win at least 4 Heisman trophies.

Did this reference go over people's heads, or was it judged to not be "too political?" (BTW - I think it's funny and shouldn't be considered out of bounds.)
I've been on this blog for a long time and I'm still surprised by the voting from time to time.
|08/19/2017 - 11:58am||This preview image isn't exactly confidence inspiring...||
Contrast on the selected item with the background is way too low, that search bar is painfully out of palce and small, font size/color for tagline is off, overall height size of this section as well as the header seems needlessly large....

|03/31/2017 - 3:54pm||A few things||
1. If your wife (or you, for the mgoladies) is/are considering a natural birth without the epidural, think about getting a doula. They offer a tremendous amount of support and encouragement for both the husband and wife, and take a lot of pressure off of you during the labor.
2. Consider sending the baby to the nursery overnight, and allow them to give the baby formula (even if you are hellbent on breastfeeding) - you and your wife are going to desperately need sleep, and you baby needs nourishment, and this will not affect your ability to breast feed no matter what la leche league tells you. which leads me to....
3. Breast feeding is super hard, and at first women don't produce very much milk. So, your baby will lose weight, and you may or may not be terrified that you are putting your baby at risk. Don't be afraid to get help (You should do this) and definitely get the name of a lactation consultant and accept any training offered, and definitely pump to increase your supply.
4. Be very skeptical of the internet (says guy on the internet). Get one source of information and follow that - most likely your pediatrician. If you read the internet, you'll find contradicting advice and limitless paths to problem solving and you'll feel overwhelmed.
|03/21/2017 - 12:14pm||we can't make an assessment from this article||
I was walking my dog one night in NYC, and I saw a guy carrying a bag with a woman following him and yelling. he had left her. she began punching him, hit him in the face a couple of times, and he didn't retaliate. literally 10 seconds after punching him in the face , she tries to pull his bag away. At this moment , a cop pulls up, stops them, and listens to both stories. I see the guy get cuffed so I walk over and share what I saw. The cops have an incredibly hard time deciphering what is true and untrue, and the stories being told to them are wildly different.
Moral of the story , both sides are probably giving parts of the truth, but we weren't there and may never know exactly what happened.
I am staunchly against any form of violence or aggression of any sort against women. I'm also against litigating someone on a message board. Obviously this pertains to us as fans, but we aren't the ones to decide what happened here...

|03/09/2017 - 2:16pm||PSU in Rose Bowl||
As a fanbase, do we really believe that we should have been in the rose bowl over a team that won the big ten championship game?
I'm not asking if you think we were better than PSU, I think the game result speaks for itself, but I personally think PSU going to the rose bowl shouldn't be controversial....
Please fee free to use the UP/Down votes on this as an informal poll.
Up - PSU goign to rose bowl is not controversial
Down - Michigan should have been in the rose bowl
