About that Pre-game 'walk' by Sparty

Mates,
I finally saw a good view of that whole pre-game walk thing.  I will try to embed it here.  A few things of note.

1.  Any of us who have played college sports will tell you that schedules for warm-ups and game are printed and posted.  Sparty knew what it was doing when it came out late.

2.  Dantini is actually IN FRONT of the walk at the start.  Remember what he's seeing, about 5 Michigan guys doing their warm-ups right where he wants to go full prison league football.

3.  They are wearing helmets.  Now, maybe they do that every time (mgoblog sleuths, please investigate), but my gut tells me the helmets are in anticipation of a fight, a fight they wanted to start before the game.

Anyway, here's the link (I think).  What do you all say?

It’s amazing in the modern era with cameras everywhere that Dantonia thinks he can get away with lying. You know the old saying, if I can’t trust you to be truthful about little things, I can’t trust you about combating a pervasive rape culture.

Would a helmet help in a fight ? Other guy just grabs your face mask and starts whipping your head around.

The fact that they came out with helmets and raincoats or whatever the hell those coat things on to me looks like they were trying to be anonymous while they started something.  The good news is that's the only time they were able to drive the field.

It's clear to me that Dantonio watched game of thrones as part of his game plan because this stunt came off very white walkerish. And his sinister demeanor... What a tool .

And, yet again, Coach Dantonio is misunderstood and mischaracterized as some sort of lying, cheating, sub-human grinch to be mocked mercilessly.

If the reporter had asked the obvious follow-up question, he would have learned that Coach was not using the acronym "B.S." in the common, crass usage. But, rather, he was using the less common, erudite "B.S." acronym usage - "Brilliant Sleuthing". With which he was clearly referring to the stellar work of investigators who obtained info from eye-witnesses to the pre-game incident and who analyzed the relevant video. And, thus, Coach Dantonio was absolutely correct, it was indeed B.S. (brilliant sleuthing).

Dantonio knew exactly what he was doing yesterday. The cultural ineptness of that school has seeped into the fabric of its existence. Intimidation is their tactic - since they lack talent to beat us.  It’s only going to get worse for them here on out. See you in A2 next year Sparty.

I got in an actual text and FB argument yesterday with a Sparty friend who said that Devin Bush should be kicked out and banned from collegiate athletics.

I was all like, "Um. For cleating a field???"

He then went on to say that this kind of escalation and invitation to violence was worse than the Little Brother thing, and that it was going to get out of control quickly, and that Michigan should take immediate steps to defuse it.

To which I texted back, "Um. I'll get right on that. Not."  (Mind you, this text came in at 10:00 pm, long after the team had arrived back in Ann Arbor, violence free. Likely the only violence being incited by that time was against couches in EL.)

Even when I pointed out that their tardy red rover walk clotheslined our guys, he said that we had no authority to be on the field, it was bush league, and typical Michigan arrogance.

I texted back with, "We're not arrogant, just better than you."

I'm pretty sure we're not friends anymore :)
