thanks to Purdue...

Don’t look now but Michigan sits atop the B1G and the B1G East.  Will also be in the top 4 at the end of next week at the latest...probably (Alabama vs LSU).  It just feels different this year, less like we’re just hanging on and more like we’re in the driver’s seat.

They’ll be five tomorrow. It’ll be Bama, Clemson, LSU, ND, then Michigan. OSU will probably go to 7 or 8.

Barring a slip up against Penn State, Michigan will crack the top four because someone has to lose between LSU and Bama. But Michigan ain’t making the playoff without beating OSU. So where we’re ranked before that game doesn’t really mean much anyway.

At least OSU fans can delight in watching Joe Burrow lead LSU.

The whole OSU team with Bosa just leaving and playing with no emotional leaders is just strange. TCU was supposed their big test/win? OSU's schedule is weak(No Wisky, No Iowa, No NW) and they have shown major flaws the past three weeks.  Half the team looks like zombies. The other half aren't very smart or well coached, arm tackling, out of position, having no clue where the ball is.

UM has issues to address but The Game slowly looks more winnable.

Congrats to Tyler Trent/ Purdue, EMU, Red Wings, Pistons, and Caltech Water Polo.

OSU may have lost tonight but we’ll still be underdogs (rightfully so) in The Game. We’ve slayed several demons in the last week. November 24th would be the equivalent of slaying Satan himself in the deepest darkest depths of the ninth circle of hell.

We’ll move up to five tomorrow with OSU getting skullfucked, and have a great shot to get into the top four after the LSU-Bama game. Assuming we don’t have a letdown against Penn State. But as we really all know at this point, we’re not sniffing the playoff without taking down OSU anyway.

Michigan matches up extremely well against OSU.  The OSU defense is porous.  Their passing offense is tremendous, but their rushing offense is abysmal.

Meanwhile, Michigan has the best pass defense in the nation, and Haskins is a different quarterback when he's under pressure.

The fancystats already had Michigan as a favorite on a neutral field.  When they come out tomorrow, I expect the game to be a toss-up.  If Michigan continues to improve, and OSU continues to struggle on defense -- and this isn't a one-game issue for them -- I fully expect Michigan to be favored by a point or two in Columbus.

You are 100% right in saying that it feels like we are in the driver's seat. I'm suddenly, and for the first time in a long time, not AFRAID of the OSU game. I obviously want to win it. But it feels like something we SHOULD win. I can't remember the last time that was the case.

Purdue played great and their coach is truly a savant on offense. Such a fun offense to watch.

Regarding Michigan, I’m thankful for Sheah choosing Michigan, Along with Ed Warinner. Without those two, changes made this year, we might not look as good as we do.

"It just feels different this year, less like we’re just hanging on and more like we’re in the driver’s seat."

Honestly at this point in the season in 2016, it felt pretty much the same.
