That just by putting a small guard on our best player is the answer to beating our team. Hopefully it's a reality check. I just wanted to run the table this year but it looks like it may not be that way.

If we had this kind of effort when we are down 30 towards the beginning of the game we might not be in this predicament.  That was about the first time I saw any of our players pursue the ball after it hit the rim, and what do you know -- it gets tipped in!

The game proves that JB has to recruit legit bigs So what if they are not shooters like he wants them to be. Go get 6'9, 6'10 bigs who can score on the low block and open it up for your shooters.

You are not going to consistently make contested shots. Teams know Michigan has no inside game and can stay at home on the shooters. Also Michigan can abd should be a more balanced team and just a jump shooting team. McGary's emergence as a post presence in the tourney propelled us to the title game. That is not a coincidence.

neither Morgan or Horford can hit the 12-15 jumper, and really neither has much of a post game on the low block.  Their offense is mainly offensive rebounds and rolling to the basket on pick and rolls.

Having a big who was at least a threat to hit the 12-15 jumper consistently or a threat to get the ball in the low post and do some damage would be huge.  Unfortunately, teams just aren't worried about Morford's ability to do much with the ball on the offensive end.

The lack of effort and hustle in both B1G road losses is completely uninspiring play. They do not play with the same level of intensity or confidence on the road minus the MSU game. They were beaten to loose balls, beaten on boards, and were consistently out of place on the defensive side of the ball. Hope we rebound from this and get it together. GO BLUE!!
