High School Semi-finals
take your mind off our woes.
DCC beats Cass Tech 28-0 in what has to be considered a major upset.
in Division III DeWitt finally makes the dome after beating St. Clair 21-20
and in Division VII the Ishpeming Hematites return to the dome after their big win up North.

My alma mater Temperance Bedford choked against DCC last week by a point. I felt like we were the better team, and now I know we could've taken on Cass Tech as well. Man, so frustrating.

I know most this is about Michigan high schools, but Jabrill and Paramus Catholic finally break their losing streak against Don Bosco Prep. They'll be heading to the state championship game against my alma mater.

is going to hold on 21-20, win streak continues
Montrose with a big TD but missed the xp with 2 minutes to play, and had another chance but threw a pick on 4th down.

Finally got Cass Tech where they wanted them... outside.

My Lakeshore Lancers lost yet again in the Semifinals to Zeeland West. Not bad for a 6-3 team though

Zeeland west is making its 3rd trip to the finals, this time in div3 instead of 4. No matter though, The mighty Dux will roll Dewitt. Running clock for the 2nd half.

Don't look now but tiny little Clinton, MI has a hell of a football team that destroyed Shelby today 49-3, the second half was played almost entirely with a running clock. This little community is a public school program relying on in district kids. For the most part, the players go both ways and seem to never wear down.
I'll be driving in from Chi Town next week to support my home town team and then be forced to go to the big house on Saturday to watch Urban out coach us and his team totally dominate us.
Go Redskins!!!

I graduated in '78 when the area was Mt. Clemens and latter changed to Clinton Township. Not a tiny high school as they won the state wrestling championship awhile back.
I heard they have a good team and one kid has an offer from M.

Clinton, Michigan. Not Clinton Township. Clinton is about 15 miles north of Adrian, and about 11 miles west of Saline. About 400 kids in the high school, and now they've got to deal with Ithaca and their 55-game win streak on Friday afternoon.
