UM Offers 2014 RB and DE (surprise!!)
Figured some could use a move on from Hand....is offering committed kids this late in the process for 2014 a bad sign?
#Michigan offered 2014 Sugar Land TX RB Vic Enwere (Cal commit) & 2014 Berrien Springs MI DE JhonnyWilliams (Mizzou commit) this afternoon

Why do some of you think we're just going to steal this kid away from Mizzou?
Because "we're MICHIGAN"???
Mizzou is in the SEC and they were as high as #6 in the nation this year. They've still got a shot at a BCS bowl.
We're...michigan.

Covered SW Michigan high school football and covered a game that he was in. Talked w/ the opposing coach afterwards as Berrien Springs lost (really had a bad season all around). The opposing coach from Edwardsburg said they neutralized him pretty easily (not as easily as his teammate and MSU commit Nick Padla). He has the tendancy to want to make plays in the backfield. They let him, and then ran through the whole he left.
One very impressive play I did see. An Edwardsburg RB busted it for a 69 yard carry from his own 10. He had a 15 yard advantage on Williams, and Williams caught him at the BS 20yd. line. It was amazing watching him run and catch up that quickly. Definitely has the intangibles, but is raw w/ technique.

starts recruiting and developing players when they are just old enough to put on the gear without falling over. not saying i think this is admirable. Entire TX towns turn out for HS football games. We think it's part of the culture in Ann Arbor, it isn't. Fandom, yes, singleminded devotion to football like in the south, not so much. There, it is the dominant religion. Then these kids are considering their various sun belt college options. they are going to come up north where it's cold and they have to show up for classes?
We did get Denard, thanks to RR,
and Gardner is from around here, and we are failing him.
