Dick Vitale doesn't care that Burke was a smidge off of his season average because Craft ~"contained him no matter how many points he scores." Also, the game shouldn't be decided by a foul call...but 6 seconds later it should be because Hardaway flagrantly called Craft a douche on his pathetic last shot attempt.
Excuse me while I teabag my maize and blue balls all over Dicky V's scrotum face.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:39 PM ^
I believe Hardaway's exact words were, "Sit the fuck down. I'm sick of your shit."
February 5th, 2013 at 11:45 PM ^
being this upset after a victory. How could anyone dribble around Craft when he's clawing your body and raking your face the entire time you have the ball?
February 6th, 2013 at 12:27 AM ^
It's like holding in football...if you constantly do it they eventually stop calling it...he gets away with a lot of contact
and Vitale wants a foul on the last drive for Burke "bumping" Craft down the floor

Ohio is learning how to get the refs to let them play Duke Defense. I was very glad to see that Michigan adjusted to the "refs don't want to decide the game" after the non-call on the obvious flagrant foul.

Agreed but, in all fairness, Burke was all over Craft on that last drive to the basket. Its a good no-call since Craft did the same thing all game long but it was still technically a foul.

goes surprisingly (awesomely?) well to this

I know I'm probably in the minority and I'll have to watch that play a few more times, but.....I think it was a good no-call. Hardaway's forearm came across the ball mostly and if anything hit some of Crafts hand/upper wrist. He wasn't hit on the forearm or anything that would equate to a blatant foul so to me it was a "block"/no-call. Again, minority and I'd like to see it a couple more times but that's my stance for now!

Don't get me wrong, I wish they still called the game the way they did in 1995 when guys could actually get a little physical, but that's just not the way the game is played anymore. Any other time in the game and they would have called that 10 times out of 10. Actually it wouldn't even have gotten that far because they probably would have called Burke for riding him the whole way, but only after they waited for him to get in the paint so he could get a continuation.
February 6th, 2013 at 12:04 AM ^
Hah definitely agree about them normally calling a foul on Burke "riding" him before the shot but still awarding shooting-foul free throws!
February 5th, 2013 at 11:43 PM ^
If Craft's foul wasn't a flagrant, then that last play was a squeaky clean block to me.

I'll take it. You need to get those calls at home, cause you're not gettin them on the road.
February 5th, 2013 at 11:24 PM ^
all going to have to go through these games, but I'm pleased with the way they fought back against a stingy and disciplined Ohio team... Great win... GO BLUE!!!

The missed flagrant was offset by the no call at the end. Which was a just outcome given that lame missed goaltending earlier anyway.
