Can't get in there at work... can someone post some of the interesting Q&A?
September 21st, 2012 at 1:13 PM ^
he doesn't have a favorite teammate, he sees the Big Ten as a strong conference with big, jacked up receivers, and he loves Mock Rock and parties as well as meeting people from all over the world.
Edit: Paraphrasing another answer, he says time management is the key to being a success on and off the field, he came in as a freshman concentrating on football but had a mother that drilled academics into him, and he's glad she did.

He hasn't answered many questions so far, but here's one:
Q: What was your perception of big ten football before going to Michigan? Did you're (sic) perception of big ten football change at all after playing in the conference four years? As someone who lives in Florida I only hear how inferior it is.
Tae's answer: Every time i watched a big ten game i always saw 6'3 guys and taller that looked like the lived in the weight room so i always felt like you had to be extremely strong and tall to play in the big ten unless you had super athletic ability. I feel like with time everything changes maybe not a lot but it does changes. The conference to me is still the same and still stands for the same thing but teams in the conference are just adding new stuff on to what they been doing

When will he become an "mgopundit"? I'd love hear him speak with Brian and Ace.
September 21st, 2012 at 1:06 PM ^
and asked him this:
Martavious, You say MGoBlog was a factor in your AMA here. I was wondering if you had anything to say about your experience on that site, and what you enjoy over there. Also, I've always been curious how often you or your teammates take a look at sites like MGoBlog or forums about M football, if at all. Go Blue!
I'll post his reply if he responds.

Inside the mgoblog community i think its cool that everyone has a voice and they respect each others voice.I think on Mgoblog they tell you how it is and they don't try to shy away from the truth if you did good or bad or if your idea is great or it sucks their going to let you. They let you know if they don't agree with what you saying and they let you know why. Also they give you advice and support on how you can fix whatever it is your saying or doing. Honestly i think a few go on and read a little but not many.

they ALL read it. There's a Brian Cook shrine behind one of the water fountains in the trainer's taping room. Serious.

I feel old.
September 21st, 2012 at 1:29 PM ^
FWIW I think reddit could use some more old people

But things like Reddit and Twitter make me feel much older.

My two favorite sites coming together...it's a little weird.
Hopefully this gets Odoms some more exposure for his campaign! It would help if he posted the link in the text, though.

1) How did the coaching under Rich Rod and Hoke differ? 2) What issues did you see first hand that you can talk about? (Forcier being grumpy after Robinson took over, Rich Rod breaking down from all the pressure, etc)Tae's Answer:
Both coaches wanted to win, they both worked hard at their jobs cared about their team but the difference was hoke new what Michigan was all about what it stood for and new what he was signing up for when he took the job and i don't think coach rod new enough about Michigan but i know he gave it his all. Rod screamed and Hoke was relaxed and calm but hoke streamed as well. I didn't see Tate get grumpy because Shoe Lace was playing. I really didn't see coach Rod Breakdown from pressure but yes he got very emotional but who wouldn't after what he went through.Seems to indicate that players generally liked Rodriguez, but realized that he may not have been the best fit.

It seems like he's stopped answering questions, but I would definitely recommend going to see the questions and answers. It's not typical coach/playerspeak, and some of the answers were surprisingly honest, in my view.
One thing I wanted to ask, but didn't get there in time, is what he is doing now. Is the community work for Pahokee all volunteer, or is work in the community sphere his full-time job now? If it is, that's awesome.

He has SEVEN separate comments bitching about Hoke/team/us referring to OSU as "Ohio".
(he doesn't outright declare himself an Ohio fan, but I checked his comment history and he has several anti-Michigan, pro-Ohio comments...I have no life)

Started frequenting the /r/cfb subreddit, there's seems to be a contingency of OHIO fans that aren't quite fond of us either. I was surprised that they actually have fans haha.

Has certainly made them a more chippy fanbase than in recent history:
I'm interested to see if the "BCS buster" hype about them this year is legitimate.

I note that he's a fan of cold winters. Everyone assumes that's a recruiting drawback, but for guys who have never experienced a real winter before, it can be pretty cool.

He is going back on a little bit. He actually answered my question about Usian Bolt and Denard racing, gave me an ambigous answer, "Who's the fastest man in the world." So that means Denard obviously would win, right?
