'01 Citrus Bowl vs. Auburn / 7:00 p.m. Mon.
Icons: Schembechler / 9:00 p.m. Mon.
'93 Rose Bowl / 9:30 p.m. Mon.the only thing I remember about that game being there live....their fanbase is really classless. I've been to Ohio and ND as well and sparty took the cake as far as complete trash.
Also, I'll never forget me and my friends debating the whole game why Fitz was never in the backfield and we were running a power game with VS.
Much countess with woolfolk at cb, lots of Hawthorne. Also credit to MSU, they had a good game and executed, baker ran tough all day.
Still thought the game was more than winnable at the time. Just never understood what our gameplan was on offense.
Misdirection was there all day and the whole screen game was non existant.
to getting zone shoved up our butt or getting pick six'd again..... and again....
Man it's time to beast those f-ers.
There are so many games they rarely show and I would love to know why....there's PSU 02 and 05.
Sparty in Hoops in 03 at home when we had the 13 game home win streak on the line.
Iowa in OT in 05 when we broke their home winning streak. PSU in 99 as well.
Seems like they play the same games over and over again.
They do. MIchigan is the winningest program in college football history and they are stuck showing the same games over and over again. Why?
I'm pretty sure it's just laziness. Michigan/the Big Ten/BTN hold the rights to everything, and whoever is doing the programming is just putting on the usual rotation of Top 2011 FB Games, Top 2011-12 Basketball Game, every school episode of their latest original programming, and a couple random classic games.
Not positive, but I think the BTN has to buy the rights to the games if they were broadcast on a different channel, so they just replay the same games because they don't want to buy other games.
the big ten owns the rights to every conference game and any non conference game where a big ten team is the home team. not sure why they don't play a larger variety. They give a lot of the rights to ABC and ESPN for the live broadcast but afterward the conference still owns the rights and can play them on BTN if they want
I wish they showed more variety as well...my guess is it has something to do with $$$ and rights like it always seems to. I'd also like to see '99 UM-OSU, 2001 UM-Wisconsin, 2005 UM-MSU in football. I know they used to play '99 UM-Penn St on ESPN classic a lot.
On a side note, some of these games can be seen in full-commercial free on youtube.
Would love to see the 97 season replay..........would love some 88 sc rosebowl, 03 nd, 06, 2010 nd games, 02 vs washington..........some other fun games...............
Fixed. Thx.
I may have to be late for work tomorrow then - I was at this game; the Tai Streets and Chris Howard show in the 3rd quarter alone makes it great viewing.
I've had some epic tailgates, but I swear I don't even remember the Solar Car game.
I never saw this telecast, because I was at the game.
This seems to me to be one of the best broadcasts of last season. Urban Meyer and Chris Spielman doing a great job with the commentary.
DVR on overdrive...
I was at a family event when we played Nebraska, and so I only saw the game in bits and pieces. The best of course was the commentary and sideline shot of Hoke/Mattison after Nebraska scored on that freaky option play.
I certainly do not recall seeing a replay of this ND-Michigan game from '97...good way to start the morning.
