not a good night.
February 25th, 2012 at 7:43 PM ^
yeah no one in the crowd even cared when we grabbed the lead or were down.

This is is simply not true. I was at the game. Crowd was on its feet when we tied and took the 2 point lead. Yes, the crowd left much to be desired, but don't make false claims.

Fucking-A Jim Jackson. We have won games all year without shooting well from outside. Give it a rest.

oh well. that was a bummer. we will get revenge on Purdon't in the big ten tournament

Clearly we play very well when the team cares about the game, if we can sneak past the first round of the tourny then we could make a run

I'm so fucking sick of Hardaway's effort.

Yep, just can't trust this team. They can hang with Duke and Michigan State one game, then lose at home to a meh Purdue team. Barf.

Purdue deserves to win this game. They out-played, out-physicaled, and just out-coached us. Its not really surprising, considering Purdue's tournament hopes are on life-support and they need a signature win. Its no wonder they're going to leave everything on the court and pull out all the stops against us.
Still, this is senior night, and Michigan just came out with zero energy. There's no excuse for that.
Tip of the hat to Purdue, though. They deserve to win, and another B1G team in the tourney makes the conference look that much better.

Bad game, bad atmosphere, alumni band is terrible. Not our night.
February 25th, 2012 at 7:47 PM ^
Yes, yes I see it now....a signature road win for Purdue in a seemingly home atmosphere. Or neutral site I suppose, take your pick. But as I've said all along, in my eyes there was lack of intensity (or electricitiy) throughout this whollllle game. Needed some kind of catalyst (i.e crowd)

Mostly hardaways fault, if you eliminate him from our 3 point shooting for the season I think we'd be in the 38% range

I've attended Michigan football games where I've been surrounded by old rich alumni. Sure they'll buy tickets, but they hardly do more than sit there and consume oxygen. Many choose not to sing the Victors, let alone complete a simple 3-word cheer that I like to call Let's Go Blue.
On the other hand, they won't waste a second to critique the team's performance in-game. Keep in mind I'm not targeting all old rich alumni, just those who don't arrive with the spirit to cheer their team onto victory.
/rant about old rich alumni

I could understand a loss to Illinois or Penn State, but at home? on senior night? What the hell
February 25th, 2012 at 8:15 PM ^
No students = Purdue's home game.

Wolvie No!!!
February 25th, 2012 at 7:52 PM ^
Sorry to the people complaining about the 3s. Our problem tonight wasn't offense it was leaving Purdue wide open for the entire game.
February 25th, 2012 at 7:52 PM ^
Out played, plain and simple. What happened with playing zone? We couldn't guard them 1 on 1.
February 25th, 2012 at 7:53 PM ^
I AM ANGAR AND DISAPPOINT!!!
February 25th, 2012 at 7:53 PM ^
We would have won this if the students were there. Crowd was dead all night and reflected on the team. Stu and Novak deserve better for their last home game.
February 25th, 2012 at 8:18 PM ^
i think the idiot who scheduled our last home game to be during a student break deserves to shoulder some of the blow for todays loss... maize raige has alot to do with the team's run at home.

of not including spring break game tickets in the student season ticket packages. It made sense back when the team sucked, because it was unlikely the tickets would have gotten used, but today, it would have won us this game.

The crowd looked lame as fuck.. gave zero energy to the team. THJ continues to be terrible in making shooting decisions. This team decides to try to win again by 3, after the pathetic shooting at NW
February 25th, 2012 at 7:57 PM ^
At least we're off the bubble.

Purdue actually been really good lately with the exception of when they lost Byrd for the game against lil bro. It's not the end of the world, but it sucks at the moment.
February 25th, 2012 at 8:14 PM ^
Lets not overreact. Losing sucks, especially when its a game you should win at home on senior night but we have had a very good season so far and we have a great future. GO BLUE!!
February 25th, 2012 at 8:23 PM ^
Probably staring down 12-6 or better, 4 or better tourney seed, top 3 in the league. Considering our main gun really had a slump in the league, this has been a great year so far.
The goal is still to be standing on weekend 2 of the tournament. Maybe I am alone, but I never pictured this team winning the league this year, so this near miss is a bonus.
To win in a league like this your main guy has be at his best. Green has been for State.
