I'm pretty sure that's standard opperating procedure now.
Nonetheless. Congratulations Go16Blue!

What was your first choice because if UM is #2 then you were shooting pretty high.

<br>Congrats regardless and enjoy the next 4 years.

Congrats, I remember reading about your ambitions to be blue.

We'll all enjoy a drink on your behalf. You have every right to be proud of your accomplishment. Based on your points and having seen your bizarre avatar for a while now, you're obviously a big fan. You see dreams really can come true.

Young (sir or madam),
Inspired by your message for my first post. Just wanted to add a huge congratulations on your acceptance to Michigan. There is, to borrow, no finer University in any aspect anywhere. (Ok, I don't want to hear any reasoned arguments about MICU/Har-Yale's Program in endro-astro-socio-theory...you get the emotional point of the claim.)
A quick thought. More years ago than I care to admit, Princeton was my first choice before I went to Michigan. Of course, we know it is easy to rationalize but looking back I feel endlessly grateful that I graduated from Michigan. I have been fortunate, life has treated me well... You have the rest of your life (and the opportunity) to attend the most elite and often private institutions. I had the chance after Michigan and am grateful that I have... but I will always be glad that my ALMA MATER is Michigan. It is a school of which I am am forever proud as a great (tremendous) academic institution, while still being able to be proud of it being a public school (and all that stands for) and still be able to speak endlessly about football with strangers I bumb into in an airport while traveling.
Congratulations and GO BLUE.

I'm currently in the process of completing my last exam of the semester and if it weren't for the internets I would have been done hours ago. Korean Law and Global Economic Order......ugggggghhhhhhhhhh. At least its take-home.

With about 14 minutes left in the second quarter Montana goes for on fourth and a couple inside the twenty instead of taking the FG. They end up coming up three short after a good comeback. I hated the call when they did and although some CHARTS show fourth downs are too conserative in general, that has to hurt.

Tough loss no doubt. Some questionable coaching calls but I got to give a lot of credit to Sam Houston, they're a solid team

Drinking some home brews. A two hearted ale clone and and hefeweissen. Anyone else brew their own?
December 16th, 2011 at 11:33 PM ^
I don't, but my brother-in-law does. It always turns out pretty good but always seems to be more carbonated than normal commercial breweries. Still always fun to get drunk with him every few months.
December 17th, 2011 at 3:24 AM ^
The two hearted clone came out way too carbonated. But the others were fine. Must be a common problem with some process in the brewing.

I would be at a party having a great time, but some use of foul language infront of my mother got me grounded for the night. Lesson learned, mumble swear words. It really sucks missing social events.
December 17th, 2011 at 2:24 AM ^
protip: mentioning being grounded sounds funny on a board with plenty of people old enough to have grounded their kids today.

is from NJ? We always thought it was an MSU beer in college. Why is it now from NJ, as opposed to Latrobe?

Drinking Kettlehouse IPA from Missoula and puffing on some of the finest Montana herbal remedies... Think global / smoke local!
December 17th, 2011 at 4:43 AM ^
I used to live right down the street from Kettlehouse, some great beers. The IPA is great, obviously Coldsmoke is the go to, but I'm sure you know

Ardbeg Corryvreckan. Lots of it. I am riding a peaty unicorn over a rainbow made of smoke.

I'm a beer salesman yet, sadly, I've been forced to drink from an IV for the last two weeks. Here's to (hopefully) getting out of the hospital tomorrow.
When I can have one, my first beer, however, will be a Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout.
December 16th, 2011 at 11:46 PM ^
...will be a dirty martini.
December 17th, 2011 at 12:02 AM ^
Beer seems to always taste better without an IV.

Get well soon! Being a beer salesman, I assume you've had the Sam Adam's version of your craving, how does it compare?
