when a guy has your leg in a vice, and your hovering barely above ground nearly on your knees, you should always fight to stay up in that position and let 3 guys come and pummel you

Fumble, Iowa.
Looks like we're just playing for pride now in the Legends division.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:27 PM ^
that well last week. We were just terrible. Frustrating.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:32 PM ^
We didn't play nearly as bad last week as Iowa is playing this week. Iowa played possibly their best game of the season last week and Ferentz decided to grow a pair mysteriously.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:29 PM ^
no Iowa played about 50 times better last week than this, but we did play pretty bad last week.

Nebraska hits double digits. Probably the clincher.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:30 PM ^
MSU continues to have their way with Iowa.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:30 PM ^
Iowa is done
November 12th, 2011 at 1:30 PM ^
How did UM lose to this team?
November 12th, 2011 at 1:37 PM ^
Facepalm. One doesn't know
November 12th, 2011 at 1:37 PM ^
Iowa SUCKS and we should have won by two TD's. No excuse for losing last week.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:38 PM ^
we aren't very good
November 12th, 2011 at 1:44 PM ^
but we are better than lowly Iowa this year. We are also far better than Illinois, but I won't be stunned if we blow that one too.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:53 PM ^
Why do you have to insist on UM supremacy over reality?
November 12th, 2011 at 2:17 PM ^
in their other games. Their game vs. PSU was a joke. I just don't think they've looked good at all. In which game did they impress you (except vs. UM)?
November 12th, 2011 at 2:24 PM ^
This week: MSU up, Iowa down.
Last week: Iowa up, UM down. Neb down, NW up. Minn up, MSU down
Two weeks: Neb up, MSU down. Minn up, Iowa Down
So on and so forth. Teams are different every week.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:31 PM ^
I'm not calling a Purdue victory by any means (they're more than capable of blowing this halftime lead) but if we don't beat this goddamn shitty OSU team, then holy shit.
(Insightful, I know)
November 12th, 2011 at 1:32 PM ^
As Salavtore said above we lost to this Iowa team that looks terrible against msu. It is pretty clear that everyone seems to get up to play us, but can't get their shit together against other teams.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:37 PM ^
Our two losses have both come on the road against teams that have had an extra week to prepare. Illinois will be the same.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:38 PM ^
Yeah that must be it, can't be based on our performance.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:31 PM ^
the first half of the Iowa game makes me a sad panda...
November 12th, 2011 at 1:34 PM ^
It would be a classic sparty moment if they lose to Indiana. Hey you never know, and yes I agree with Ken when MSU plays teams their opponents are dropping passes and fumbling, throwing INTs shooting themselves in the foot with penalties etc.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:34 PM ^
they can fumble the ball away again here
November 12th, 2011 at 1:37 PM ^
Intent call, what?
November 12th, 2011 at 1:38 PM ^
Not complaining though.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:40 PM ^
low kick who called it and that should be a helmet to helmet and was called right
November 12th, 2011 at 1:39 PM ^
embarrassing, actually, that Iowa's win against us will be sandwhiched between a loss to Minnesota and a blowout at the hands of MSU for them.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:40 PM ^
damn, he is a large man
November 12th, 2011 at 1:40 PM ^
since ND. Getting OSU before all the players returned was just the start. Goulston (sp? but who cares) should have been suspended for THE YEAR after the UM game. If Dantonio had any stones (he doesn't), he would have thrown the asshole off the team.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:52 PM ^
Let's not pull supremacy clauses on player actions. No coach in America tosses a kid for that
November 12th, 2011 at 2:12 PM ^
They redshirted a DUIer.
November 12th, 2011 at 2:25 PM ^
seriously, don't you think there should have been some consequences for the helmet twist? All they mentioned was the punch, but the personal assault on Denard was more offensive to me.
November 12th, 2011 at 2:20 PM ^
Gholston should have been suspended for 2 games IMO. One for the punch, one for the helmet twist. He was suspended for 1 because that is what Big Ten has done in the past. Saying he should have been gone for the year was an overreaction many fans fell in to. Either way, it's done now, it's been a while sense that happened, let's get over it and quit sounding like sour grapes.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:41 PM ^
How does MSU look unimpressive every week and still lead the Big Ten? Aside from the Big Ten sucking this year, I mean.
Also, how is it that the refs are managing to have an eagle eye for Iowa's misdeed this week? Where was that last week?
November 12th, 2011 at 2:06 PM ^
If they looked unimpressive vs Michigan, then what the hell did Michigan look like?
November 12th, 2011 at 1:41 PM ^
November 12th, 2011 at 1:46 PM ^
don't worry though usually the good guys like Brady Hoke get the last laugh at douchy guys like Dantonio. OSU down 17-7 and the BTN studio guys just said it might be enough to melt down bucknuts lol
November 12th, 2011 at 1:48 PM ^
Dr. Rodney Erickson (finally) makes a public apology (more or less). Looked authentic.
Well, no time better than the present. It felt a bit too much like PSU trying to redefine/rebuild their brand though.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:48 PM ^
I need some help here
I'm in an argument with some friends of mine. I live in PA and of course the people here are delusional saying PSU has better academics than Michigan (LOL) and does more for there community, basically calling UofM trash. Can you guys tell me what Michigan's strongest spots in academics are and what the university does for its community. Please and thank you
November 12th, 2011 at 1:50 PM ^
Pull up college rankings. Charity is always going to be arbitrary to measure
November 12th, 2011 at 1:52 PM ^
I would suggest it doesn't bear responding to these sort of neanderthals. There's some folks you just can't reach.
November 12th, 2011 at 2:19 PM ^
Other than Michigan's undergrad school, law, medicine, engineering grad, business and just about every other program, PSU is better academically.
Look at world rankings that include grad programs - Michigan is elite, PSU, not so much.
Ann Arbor vs State College, located in the middle of nowhere, with not very much in the way of anything except a dairy bar that sells good ice cream.
November 12th, 2011 at 3:06 PM ^
I wouldn't be bragging about anything right now. They've just gotten the biggest STFU black eye for the next 20 years.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:58 PM ^
engineering, the medical school...... I don't live close to UM so I'm not really sure what they're doing for the community. The only university that can claim they have better academics in the BT is Northwestern.
November 12th, 2011 at 1:52 PM ^
at the end of the recruiting cycle last year? Sweat is out and they mentioned some other freshman coming in, and it didn't sound like the 5* guy
