None of them. Battlefield is the way to go.
November 5th, 2011 at 12:24 PM ^
Battlefield is like a combination of Halo with Call of Duty. I played the Battlefield Beta when it came out and it was wayyyy to "video-gamey" for me relative to the CoD's. The new CoD: Modern Warfare 3 comes out on Tuesday this week and it looks AWESOME. Modern Warfare 2 was by far the best CoD game of the series and I think that MW3 will surpass it. At the end of the day its all down to personal opinion though, some people will say Battlefield is better and others like CoD

BF3 > The world
November 5th, 2011 at 11:16 AM ^
BF3 is not that great unless you are a big Team Fortress style player. It is basically a zerg fest with little strategy, nothing like BF2.
November 5th, 2011 at 11:20 AM ^
That is the style I like to play. I was just impressed with the improved keyboard controls for the vehicles, vast improvement from the platform from the "game" that was Bad Company 2
November 5th, 2011 at 11:35 AM ^
Team Fortress 2 has more strategy than virtually every first-person shooter on the market...
November 5th, 2011 at 11:09 AM ^
Uhhh might as well just wait until next week when the new one comes out
November 5th, 2011 at 11:10 AM ^

November 5th, 2011 at 11:18 AM ^
tried the bf3 open beta. All anyone did was lay in a bush and snipe when you moved. Every time I played all I did was get pissed off.

<br>Get whatever COD your friends have it's more fun to play with friends.
November 5th, 2011 at 11:20 AM ^
The first Modern Warfare (Call of Duty 4) is still my favorite. I'm quite the fan of Black Ops as well.
November 5th, 2011 at 11:22 AM ^
Personally I don't think Call of Duty has come out with a real good game since COD4. MW2 and Black Ops were OK but I didn't like them as much as COD4.
I'm real excited for GTA V! Anyone else see the trailer that was released this week? Looks pretty bad ass.
November 5th, 2011 at 11:28 AM ^
Call of Duty is much better than Battlefield in my opinion. I have BF3 and COD Modern Warfare 3 (yes, already), and I think MW3 is much better. Just my opinion. Go Blue!
Edit: And I agree, all things considered, COD 4 has been the best of them.November 5th, 2011 at 11:46 AM ^
You get Modern Warfare 3 already?
November 5th, 2011 at 11:54 AM ^
One of my friends got caught and fired from gamestop for gankin' Halo Reach a few days early. I bet it was worth it...

You can download the game for 360 or the computer already. It's been available for a week or two.
November 5th, 2011 at 6:06 PM ^
where/how can you download it for 360 already?
November 5th, 2011 at 11:24 AM ^
Anyone else buying the Halo Combat Evolved remake next week?
November 5th, 2011 at 11:33 AM ^
Modern Warfare 3 comes out on the 8th but if you don't want that for some reason, I'd recommend COD4 (my favorite) or Black Ops (which I get bored with easily but still the second best)
November 5th, 2011 at 12:39 PM ^
Any and every lobby you join, people will be modded.
November 5th, 2011 at 11:37 AM ^
Battlefield games are more hide and snipe or require a good team play and area lockdown
COD lets you play more freely fun n gun style little more arcade less real life sim
Personally I find COD more fun but find Battlefield more rewarding when you can find good people to play with. I have kids and can only play at random times so free flowing fun n gun works better with my shcedule.

I'm a big videogame player myself, but a football saturday before an early game is not the time to create a thread on this...
November 5th, 2011 at 11:50 AM ^
Totally agree. Kick off and chance to go 8-1 , get the game on guy.
November 5th, 2011 at 11:53 AM ^
It is simply mind blowing this team could be 8-1. The testiment to the players and the staff. What a great season considering the transition.

It's 50 degrees with scattered clouds in La Paz right now. A light jacket is recommended.

Wait until tuesday and get Modern Warfare 3. It should be the best one of the bunch.

November 5th, 2011 at 12:25 PM ^
Call of Duty 4 is amazing thats the first modern warfare, Modern Warfare 2 is great, and the newest one comes out next week. Stay away from black ops and WAW.
November 5th, 2011 at 12:37 PM ^
Each have their strengths and weaknesses, but I think a lot depends on how you're playing it.
On PC, Battlefield is just looks and runs so much better.
On consoles, Modern Warfare is just looks and runs so much better.
All other things being equal, I prefer MW's arcadey gameplay over BF's more realistic, tactical approach, but I can see how someone would prefer the other.
November 5th, 2011 at 12:41 PM ^
COD4 and MW2 with none of the shitty things. Forewarned, the gameplay is a lot like MW2, minus the explosives and bullshit.
November 5th, 2011 at 12:48 PM ^
...and knifers?
November 5th, 2011 at 1:29 PM ^
no danger close, and no one man army. Noob tubes are supposed to be a lot weaker too. I haven't actually played it yet, just what I've seen reported and watched in videos.
November 5th, 2011 at 1:47 PM ^
The also tried to make the maps such that they drastically reduced camping, making a lot more 'battle zones' between spawn sites
November 8th, 2011 at 11:03 AM ^
Provided it's not spawn camping, which is weak.
November 5th, 2011 at 1:30 PM ^
This is football season. This is WAY OT and should not have been posted.
November 5th, 2011 at 2:53 PM ^
Anyone saying Black Ops is good is on crack. MW and MW2 were great but BO ruined the entire franchise for me.
Battlefield 3 if you want strategy and vehicles
MW3 if you just want to kill people
November 5th, 2011 at 3:37 PM ^
COD4 over MW2 but I still play MW2 all the time.
November 5th, 2011 at 2:57 PM ^
this is defeating
November 5th, 2011 at 4:13 PM ^
Mw is the best. Mw2 was OK the rest were terrible
November 5th, 2011 at 4:15 PM ^
Is better in some ways that BF:BC2, which was previously the best multiplayer game you coule get, if you were willing to invest a little time in learning its idiosyncrasies. It's aligned a little more along the traditional Call of Duty play style than previous games have been. Don't judge it by the beta.
Call of Duty has been weak since Modern Warfare, which is the best of the series with the possible exception of the very first game. MW2 multiplay was just awful, at least from a PC gamer's perspective. I never experienced any problems that a lot of folks had with Black Ops out the gate, but I still don't think it was exceptional.
I think it mostly boils down to if you want to invest some time and play a bit more of a thinking man's shooter vs. instant access campaign on rails, balls to the wall multiplayer that is CoD (this is not a comment on BF3's singleplayer campaign, which is virtually non-existant and is very similar to a Call of Duty game.). Or, if you have a nice PC, get BF3. XBox/PS3, MW3 may be a better setup. In any case, I'd wait for the reviews of MW3 to come out before jumping on it. If it has moved in a new direction, it may be a good pickup, but from the previews, it looks very much like a rehashed MW2 with some multiplay tweaks, and does it while not looking all that stellar (engine-wise).

Black ops is the shit...Fuck modern warfare ...World at war and black ops...Can't go wrong...
