I saw on twitter Michigan is on the phone with the Big Ten and they are deciding whether to play or just call the game. The feeling is that they are done though.

I left they said it would be a pretty long delay and will probably just call the game

has no info, ESPN has switched to racing and said they have no info

WTF. A game has to be 3 quarters to be official. If we don't play another minute or so, we won't get a win... am I wrong? That blows pretty hard.

isn't an actual rule, according to the chairman of the Big East.

They've called the game. We win.
September 3rd, 2011 at 7:07 PM ^
like they are going to wait it out and get the game in. Via espn and numerous respectable tweets.
EDIT: Game over.

September 3rd, 2011 at 7:09 PM ^
Have been watching on ESPN, the game is called!
September 3rd, 2011 at 7:09 PM ^
Bottom-line on espn says game is called and mich wins
September 3rd, 2011 at 7:09 PM ^
A win is nice but more play to work on things before next week would have been nice. Screw you mother nature!!!
September 3rd, 2011 at 7:10 PM ^
Knowing Brian Kelly's track record with regard to bad weather and high winds, I don't see him agreeing to call their game, especially since they're down 16-0
September 3rd, 2011 at 7:10 PM ^
ND vs S Fla us back playing!
September 3rd, 2011 at 7:20 PM ^
Actually, watching on TV, bored now, and the teams are still warming up! Nevertheless, never expected ND to give up down 16-0 at home, after all it is a holiday weekend, plenty of time to wait it out!

Stupid 3:30 kickoffs. Clearly God wants Noon games. That, or punishment for playing Pop Evil.

I was watching it on the web. Then a while later tuned into the radio... I was hoping they called it just so people would request refunds. Even just the delays, I thought what a horrible customer experience! $70 to be herded around like cattle for hours in the rain.
I hope Brandon gets 109,000 e-mails from angry fans. What did he/the school do to appease the fans, make them more comfortable, through this? Was shelter provided? And now, seeing less than 75% of the game...
I'm sorry, this is the downside when charging that much and being so concerned about money. It is more than just demand (i.e., we can charge such outrageous prices because we can get it).
September 3rd, 2011 at 7:17 PM ^
What should he have done? I'm not sure this was even his call.

Invest in weather controlling devices.

Have giant tents put up for 110,000 people outside? He can't control the weather and safety comes first these days especially considering all the recent disasters at outdoor concerts. It wasn't DB who called it, BIG did. You don't want to spend $70 for a ticket don't, others will happily.

There was plenty of shelter around. Pioneer and Crisler were both open for people to take cover and there were plenty of announcements telling everyone that.

You should throw your computer out the window and sit in a shed with Craig James for a week as a penalty for wasting all of our time with this stupid shit.
September 3rd, 2011 at 7:18 PM ^
Both schools mutually called it, win for Mich!!
September 3rd, 2011 at 7:22 PM ^
felt kinda weird to me. The weather just topped it off.
