College Football Opening Night - Open Thread

Submitted by jcgold on

Tonight's TV Matchups:

Murray St. at Louisville - 6:00 ET - ESPNU

UNLV at Wisconsin - 8:00 ET - ESPN

Miss St. at Memphis - 8:00 ET - FSN

Kentucky vs. WKU (at Nashville) - 9:15 ET - ESPNU

In addition, you'll find Wake at Cuse and a bunch of 1-A vs. 1-AA matchups on ESPN 3

It's good to be back to college football, even if the matchups are awful.

I am in Moscow, Idaho for the BGSU-Idaho game that kicks off in two hours. My friends and I drove 32 hours straight from Chicago to get out here for my Bachelor party and we are having a blast! Go Falcons and Vandals!

Was hoping to watch the Toledo game on ESPN3, but it's blacked out because I'm in the area. Oh well, just have to watch the Lions' second stringers until the Wisconsin game.

For fuck's sake, I don't even care to hear stupid ass comments about how Wisconsin is so awesome because of "Jump Around".  Just play some fucking football already for. the. love.

We're out of Vitamin Water and Diet Coke, so even though I have to be at work super early  tomorrow I've swithed to alcohol.  I may or may not be on my second Summer Shandy and third Tanqueray and Sierra Mist.  Happy Return of College Football, y'all!

Yet again, the Wisconsin offensive line looks excellent. Actually, I'm very happy about that considering we will only play them if we meet in the Big Ten title game. I know they're playing an awful UNLV team, but still, they look awesome already.

I miss the days of 320+ lb. linemen. Please, Brady Hoke, bring those days back.

I am also glad we miss them on the schedule.  UNLV is bad, but they aren't Delaware St. bad.  The fact that Wisconsin is able to run all over them like this certainly shows how dominant they are.

What magic cupboard is Wisconsin using that gives them an endless supply of top-notch tailbacks?  Their top RB Clay leaves school early and there are two great backs right behind him.  Meanwhile, Michigan's been searching for Mike Hart's replacement for 4 years.
