All Three 2011 Hoops Recruits in the Top 100
I don't know how respected MaxPreps is, but in their final top 100 all three UM recruits made the top 100.
Brundidge = 62
Burke = 80
Biefeldt = 100

I figured they would only put odds on a state high school basketball player trophy in Nevada...
Davis is one of the best players in the country. I don't doubt that Bielfeldt is a top 100 player, but I cannot see him being ranked higher than davis in anything at this point....
If you read the article it is because Davis played on a horrible team, winning just 6 games all year. I can't figure out how a high school team though can be that bad with such a dominate player.
People shouldn't obsess so much over recruiting ratings. This Wall Street Journal article pointed out that 7 of the 15 basketball All-Americans for 2010-11 had been ranked three stars or below.
But there are more players that are 3 stars and below than there are 4 and 5 stars, so if the group of All-Americans is divided equally between the two, there is still a higher percentage of four and five stars that make the list. It's an inexact science, sure, but it's a decent indicator of future success. I'd also consider Bielfeldt's high level of production on a winning team a decent indicator of future success as well.
