"What (Michigan coaches) told me is that they're focusing on point guards right now, but if anything opens up, they'll definitely come back on and recruit me as hard as they were," said Towns

Give him a copy of The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Bibles and shit have had 2000 or more years to cure the world's ills.
They're failing miserably.

We aren't supposed to talk about points.
Even in Meta, I believe points discussions are a no-no.
This whole points thing just seems so infantile.

For all who say Michigan SHOULD win 8 or 9 games this year--what to do if they come in at 6-6 or worse?
See, you are setting yourselves up for some serious soul searching if Rodriguez and Michigan limp into the OSU game needing a win to make a bowl.
In any ordinary OLD Michigan season, nine wins would be a given. Not so--far too many question marks, and I'll side with the guys who think it's going to be hard as hell to make this defense better without Warren, Graham, Brown, and now Woolfolk. Sorry, I'm not putting too much faith in "Floyd and the Freshmen"
Not to rain on the optimism parade here (except that's apparently exactly what I'm going to do)--but I cannot fathom that kind of optimism coming off two years like UM just had, with so man question marks and even more hopes and prayers.

And have seen it is this: Cam Gordon seemed to emerge as the #1 safety coming out of spring ball.
He is a sophomore. Played mostly offense IIRC up til now. Wanted to be a receiver IIRC in college.
All the sudden, he was touted as either the best or one of the best hitters in spring ball.
Seemed like that was a warning signal about the defense.
The trouble with hoping you win shootouts is that well, our offense hasn't proven to be that much to write home about. So, we are hoping for a quantum leap offensively so we can all the sudden outscore people something like 41-35 on a regular basis?
If I was a betting man, I'd start thinking about the under on 7 wins.

How Gardner gives UM any better options than Forcier and Robinson.
If he does, either they stink, or he is UBER GOOD and SHOULD be farking starting! Hellz YES!
So, in conclusion: If Gardner gives UM better options to win, better get ready to say "Welcome Home, Jimmy!"
Otherwise, redshirt the hell out of him. Redshirt him twice.

Of all the ideas I've heard, that's the best. I like the traditional weekend thing, and then another game or two after that.
As for the thought process about Michigan playing a super hard schedule--well Bo Schembechler would roll over in his grave if he heard that kind of whining.

Thought highly of Threet coming out of high school. I don't understand why one season with the worst football team in Michigan history, in an offense no one on the team understood, after the team lost something like 147 players during the offseason, would cause others to think Threet has no potential to be a good player. Sad.
I wish him the best, and with real QB coaching, Threet will probably have a very solid career out there.

You say OSU's defense was very good--then you say Oregon's offense gave them trouble all day. Huh?
Second: Isn't a QB's job, in part, exactly to MANAGE the game? I figure if TP (who was a true soph BTW) can limit TO's and move his team, then with that defense, OSU would have had--exactly the kind of season they did. And that sounds familiar for our team--manage the game, watch TO's and tackle.
Lastly: if UM doesn't upgrade its defense NOW--another coach will be here next year. Rodriguez doesn't have "the next year or two."

So we're positive they recruit illegally, or just mad because they're kicking our ass all the time?

You seem to have a sort of fantasy about hard, hot male sex.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. Hey, whatever blows your skirt up, fella.

I thought the same thing. I don't believe the guy met Maritooti anyway. Besides, Mariottiti is a self serving idiot just like everyone else in the media!

This kind of informational dynamic just can't be found anywhere. I am extremely impressed by the way Rodriguez has landed so many talented recruits and appears to have a team so deep and talented that this thing is about to explode like a hydrogen bomb of blue fury.
I am very anxious for the season to start so I can watch the Wolverines tear it up on the field. Practice reports like this are refreshing because we haven't had this much astronomic enthusiastic for a few years now. You can just feel a different feel this year. I know I can!

Why do people read this douchebozzle? He is such a douchey douche. He might be the number 1 reason newspapers will be defuncted by the year 2013. No one will want to read newspapers because all the writers are douchnozzles who don't know anything. Sharp is nothing more than a syncophile for the sparty loving Detroit media.
I wonder why they don't think blogs like this one are the best way to get objective viewpoints and the best writing.
