Here's one.

6 weeks 5 days ago Too Many to Count

I've had season tickets since I was a freshman in 1964 and have probably missed only 5-6 games since then.  AC's catch in 1979 was made right in front of us in Section 4.  Have attended away games in South Bend, Evanston, Bloomington and, sorry to admit, most recently in Jacksonville.

14 weeks 5 days ago Fishbowl

The Fishbowl connecting Angell and Mason Halls was there in the 60's--long before any computer lab.  "Meet you at the Fishbowl" was often heard on central campus.

15 weeks 23 hours ago Super News.

Exactly what we need to continue the momentum.

15 weeks 2 days ago Simple

Act like you've been there before.  Under no circumstances burn a couch in the employee lounge.

19 weeks 3 days ago Old?

I was there also but was too old to rush the field then.  I guess that makes me real old today.  I wonder if his kid is called "Wangs?"

20 weeks 3 days ago G-Force

Can't wait to see the G-Force (Gardner and Green) in the backfield together.  That's a linebacker's nightmare for sure.

21 weeks 5 days ago Only a 9

He over rotated and had to reach back.

23 weeks 4 days ago Down Under

He should be dancing with that Australian hurdler.  Anyone care to post her warm up video for comparison?

25 weeks 6 days ago No

Stay off my green lawn!

26 weeks 3 hours ago Great Photo

The photo accompanying the article says it all.  So nice to see a six year old smiling after the events of the last few days.  Ironic that her name is Faith.

I've always been proud to be a Michigan Wolverine, but stories like this make me even prouder.  This young man will succeed in whatever he chooses to do with his life.

Use an unstrung racket for that big match, Patrick.  She deserves to win.

26 weeks 1 day ago Never stopped believing

I've been a believer from the day I first watched Cazzie, Ollie, Larry, George and their teammates play at leaky Yost a "few" years back.   And no, young fellers, they weren't on skates.

27 weeks 4 days ago Best of All

Best of all he did it the right way.  Quality players; quality coaching.

28 weeks 1 day ago That works

Alex Carder would understand that.

28 weeks 1 day ago Excellent Choice!

I propose that a new award be created:  the Jordan Kovacs Award for Most Outstanding Walk On."

29 weeks 1 day ago Winning Field Goal?

Who would have thought a couple of years ago that we could beat MSU with a last second field goal?  I was so confident I even watched it.

30 weeks 1 day ago Devin Robinson

Or Denard Gardner.

30 weeks 3 days ago Still With Us

As demonstrated by these posts, Bo has not left us and never will.  When he's not the 12th man on the field (you don't think Roundtree caught that ball in the NW game on his own, do you?) he's sharing Fritz Crisler's seat on the 50.

30 weeks 5 days ago In Other Words

"Those who stay will be champions!"

31 weeks 3 days ago Disappointed

From my viewpoint on the east side I watched all the NW players--who most probably just wanted to duck into the tunnel behind them at that moment--nevertheless walk out to mid field to congratulate The Victors.   THAT was class and I was disappointed that only a handful of Wolverines met them there to shake hands.  Thank you Jordan.

For most of the game we were outplayed and we would have lost to the better team but for one very fortunate catch with 8 seconds left.  The Wildcats earned our respect and most of our players absolutely ignored them so as not to delay their celebration with the students for 30 seconds.

That's not the way we do things at Michigan.

32 weeks 2 days ago Those Who Stay

"Those who stay will be champions"  --Bo Schembechler

Another fine example.  Well done, young man.

32 weeks 4 days ago Smart Crabs?

I've never seen a crab with a iphone, fully charged or otherwise.  Guess I'll have to visit Galveston someday.

33 weeks 4 days ago Here's a difference

I think there's a difference between an exciting last second win and a PLAY that results in a last second win.  Last week was a good example.  A fairly routine middle distance field goal resulted in a nearly last second win when it split the uprights.  Most if not all of the great plays you reference were catches in the end zone, e.g. Roundtree's catch last year that outranks AC's play in your mind.

The 1979 Indiana win was unique in that it required a perfect throw, a great catch and an even better run to the end zone.  After going up for the catch Carter still had to elude two defenders who were within tackling distance and run about 15 yard to the goal line--all with no time left on the clock.

All walk off wins are not equal--some result from plays that are more exciting and require more pure athletic skill than others.

33 weeks 4 days ago Not Always

Unless we're playing Colorado and Kordell Stewart.

33 weeks 4 days ago View from Section 4

Those of us in Section 4 on the 15 yard line had the best view in The House.   Now every time I take that same seat I mentally replay the throw, catch and run to savor it all over again--followed immediately by a mental replay of the winning TD against ND last year.

36 weeks 5 hours ago Heisman Finalist

And finished third in the 1957 Heisman voting.

39 weeks 6 days ago Funchess

It would be a great motivator and he obviously has the talent to wear it well for four years.

40 weeks 2 days ago It's a bird! It's a plane!

It's a bird!  It's a plane!  It's Superman--wearing #16.

40 weeks 2 days ago Big Chill Flyover

The first B-2 flyover was at the Big Chill.

Anyone have a video of yesterday's bald eagle "fly-in?"  It landed right in front of us in section 4.  Better than skydivers or even rocket man.
