Happy 4th of July my fellow MGoBloggers!
from the 9/11 game during the RR years.
Happy Fourth!
Happy 4th, everyone!
“As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality”
— George Washington
Great posts and photos. Happy 4th to all in the MGoCommunity!
Have a most excellent Fourth Of July, everyone!
I'm pretty sure the one pic of the harbor is like Hong Kong. But sure, we'll go with America. Happy 4th!
woke up to 25mph winds here in VA, thanks Arthur.
Kicking ass since 1976
17.... Haven't had coffee yet
The mGrowOld family wishes everyone a very, merry Independence Day!
The rabbits really give this pic that patriotic touch.
that is a family portrait, back before your mogwife got her blond hair back. hah! busted. thought you could sneak one by, but not with this group of wizards around....
Has me watching the harbor springs parade and then the petoskey parade. Pleasure and pain I love a parade!! Happy 4th!
A great 4th of July starts with a morning of Michigan/Notre Dame on BTN...
'out of rack and ruin of our gangster death...'
here's to hoping 'America' means something some day.
Happy 4th of July mgoblog!
It may have been 238 years ago, but it seems like it was just yesterday. (Yes, I'm old.) . . . Hope all MGoBloggers have a peaceful, safe and happy Independence Day.
Ah such a good movie. Thank you for reminding me of it.
Anyone one else golfing today?
Enjoy family, friends, good eats, and great drinks. And maybe a few fireworks if you may.
is salivating, I've had the briskets on the smoker since 5:00 AM
President Thomas Whitmore: Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!
Per tradition I ran the Ann Arbor Firecracker 5K this morning. This time with my son for the first time. An awesome experience.
Hurricane Arthur is messing with our grilling plans a bit, but a hurricane never stopped me from having a beer. At least the rain means less chance my younger son sets the forest floor on fire with a Roman candle (that's been a bit of a problem in past July 4ths).
Have a safe and fun 4th, mgobloggers! Tipping a Rebel IPA to you now.
And go blow some shit up! Be a patriotic 'merican!
No women in American flag bikinis eating popsicles?
then truly the terrorists have won.
Happy Fourth of July
Happy 4th everyone. It's beautiful up north; we are breaking in a new boat and I'm smoking ribs. Great day all around.
Happy 4th from Ann Arbor. My favorite part of the parade this morning:
Happy 4th everyone! The MSU alumni association had a group marching in the Northville parade. I'm going to talk to the UM Club of Greater Northville to see if we can get a group next year.
It's the 4th and Joey Chestnut wins another Nathan's hotdog eating contest eating 61 in 10 minutes. A dude named Stonie gave it a fight with 58 and leading near the 5 minute mark.
highly recommend, very cool and only costs about 2 bucks to run a couple of them. Merica....
If you can get a still frame where the camera takes the picture for a second instead of just a flash they look amazing.
Left Glen Arbor this morning for a weekend in Traverse. Stumbling home from the U&I Lounge after a night of celebrating America. Tomorrow morning my focus shifts towards fall Saturdays in Ann Arbor.
