I think everyone got this one wrong. See, Bowie is the only artist to be taken up to space to be musically trained by genius space aliens. Seems like they have something new they wanted to teach him up there.
It's a shame that we're going to lose him for a while, but the music from whatever Bowie is reincarnated as is going to be the shit.
What our rivals will get out of this coaching search when we don't land a high profile NFL coach we had a small outside chance of getting in the first place will be just epic.
I'd be interested to see portion of IBM's profit centers surround Power and Z and what comes from product licensing, premium support and their cloud offerings (BlueMix). I would imagine the dynamic has to be shifting, especially considering they sold off their x86 business.
I've been with this site since the beginning as it coincided with my undergrad days. The meltdowns are unfortunately tightly coupled with the sub-par field performance, and that's certainly sad.
Enjoy this Team folks, enjoy the community and the game but take a step back and look at this as entertainment, not your life or lifestyle.
I personally enjoy the WLA community as they take a perspective on our fan base that reflects on the obsession and looks at it critically, which I feel is necessary. We are a crew who are incredibly passionate, and that manifests itself in folks who confuse that passion as being knowledge. Do we need to, as a fanbase question every recruiting detail, every call, every coaching move and mundane detail? The WLA folks were great at calling out these aspects, and I feel it is necessary. Michigan football is an institution but at the end of the day it affects my day in 0 ways. Act accordingly.
Maybe I don't agree with the ban first ask questions later mentality, but I am open to the suggestion that it is necessary. I enjoyed chitown's perspective. I liked reading it here. If it's no longer welcome, so be it.
Wish the man all the best in retirement and thank him for his contributions to the Tigers Organization.
Winning one of those 2 Series appearances would have shut up all the critics here, but hey, some sports fans just can't be satistied. I'll take the '13 Tigers over the '03 club any day of the week.
However, to me Boston seems like they have the clubhouse rallying thing mastered. I'll give then credit where it is due: they were the better club in this one.
Oh I hate the Cardinals, I hope they get swept ceremoniously.
I hope that folks don't conclude that this is a problem that is isolated to Michigan. Last week I attended the BC game and their GA student section didn't become 70% or so full until almost halftime. That was against FSU: they had a top 10 opponent and one of the most exciting freshmen QBs coming into town!
1) From speaking to UConn fans: at a minimum they had to purchase a 3 ticket package to get a seat to this game. Some of the fans were a little bitter about this, especially seeing how many Michigan fans were in attendance
2) Every UConn fan I spoke to wanted a B1G invitation
3) The Margarita's in East Hartford was flooded with Michigan fans both before and after the game
4) Hotel parking lot tailgates were a bit weird, but allowed. The oddest tailgate spot for me is still at the T parking lot for Boston College games
For the record: I love Michigan athletics and have a deep emotional attachment to this team.
I'm also a 2 decade cycling fan, and from enjoying a sport that has put in true doping controls I can't help but be skeptical when I see these sort of out of character/ human body performances.
I would love to be wrong. But I also was more than once. And with reason.
I don't think Peyton or many/ all NFL types are clean.
This is not a Lance comment.
Pick your heroes carefully and question these performances
Can't the same be said for baseball? "How can PEDs help you eye a curveball or a fastball." I'm not buying any of your position arguments. A PED will give you an edge over the field if nobody else is using them. Period.
In 2007 the Cowboys QB coach Wade Wilson was suspended and fined for purchasing HGH. Was he buying this for the Cowboys linemen?
The fact is we have a 37 year old putting up numbers we have never seen before off a recent injury that many were predicting would render him a shadow of his former self. If you're not at least skeptical you haven't been following the trend in sports too closely lately.
I would love to see Ryder distinguish himself as a GC contender in the coming days as well. Don't count out Purito either. There's a ton to look forward to with this Tour
Like the board I'm torn. As a student I think I would have loved this -- sitting with 50 empty rows below you 15 mins to kickoff watching the band was always pretty depressing. However I wouldn't be pleased to have missed the noon games for a 3:30 kickoff.
Also getting booted from the stadium after waiting in line for 2 hours for sneaking in airplane bottles would have been a part of my life.
I could go on. This is a college football blog so I'll put my opinions on a more appropriate foum.
Don't undersestimate the news of the next few days though folks. This is a huge shakedown in one of the (if not the) most difficult, loved, respected, reverred and tarnished sports in the world.

Spoke very well, looked terrible and tired. Incredible rhetoric though

New York City is freaking insufferable.
However, it's not half as bad as anyone who lived there once for a year and can't stop talking about it incessantly.

Rad on, MGo.
When are we going to see the "21=1: The New Math" shirts hit the MGoStore?

Now where am I supposed to get a double with bacon, salami a fried egg and no vegetables?

The fact that nobody is talking about PEDs is baffling
Are we trolling schools with smaller football programs for having unique rivalries and quirky trophies?
These sorts of rivalries and trophies are what I love about College Football.

I fear we are jumping the shark folks. Plan accordingly
I feel like it's 2009 again. Welcome back WLA
Then you remove your opponents, recursively.

Q: How much does corn cost in Tampa Bay?
A: A buccaneer
Sorry if this offends anyone, but here is a good prop humor gem if you can envision it. I'll try to create a 'PG-13' verson:
I found myself the other day on a train with a Frenchman and a Mexican.
The Frenchman had his thumb, index and middle fingers pressed together and was sniffing them, gently whispering "Fi-Fi ... Fi-Fi."
Eventually I got curious so I asked, "sir, what his Fi-Fi?"
He resonded, "Fi-Fi is my wife, I love that I can smell her on my fingers after I feel her up."
The Mexican must have overheard what he had said as he enthusiastically stood up and belted out "ME TOO!"
Then he sniffed from the tips of his fingers to his elbow as if he was snorting a giant rail of cocaine and yelled "CONSUELA!!"
Hash Bash is totally NORML to me
agree with you there
When I read the subject of this post I thought to myslef "Sweet! Desmond plays the Simpsons: Tapped Out Too!?"

the answer is no.
