I just wish the would move the Michigan vs Ohio State game back to the week before Thanksgiving. This way I don't have to fight with the wife every year to go:)
Michigan has never ( at least in recent memory) been able to stop a scrambling QB. I told all of my buddies at the MichiganVs OSU game that the game comes down to JT Barrett, if he starts to scramble it's over. Meyer changed the scheme at halftime knowing this which opened up the run for Elliott as well. I agree we need more talent and will get there, but remember Meyer took a 6-7 OSU team and went undefeated his first season with OSU. Our work is cut out for us. Go Blue!
I left the stadium Saturday very concerned. I realize it's Harbaughs first year with MIchigan and he is coaching Hokes players, but we kept the game close in the first half. I looked over at my friend (who happens to be a buckeye) and said lets see who makes the best adjustments at half time. We got severely out coached in the second half. As much as it pains me to say this Urban Myer is in a class of his own. Yes he lost to MSU, but to prepare a team after all of the media stuff after the game and come up to Ann Arbor and whip us that's impressive. Keep in mind Urban took. 6-7 OSU team and went undefeated his first year. I do think Harbaugh is the answer and we will get to the elite level but Urban is sick good and I hate it!
All depends on JT Barrett. We have never been able to defend a scrambling QB. If he has a good/great day we will keep it fairly close but probably lose. If we contain him we will win. Just remember JT Barrett he is the key to this game in my opinion. Go Blue!
I am staying at the Marriott University Park and they will have a tailgate party at 3:00pm $20 a person all you can eat alcohol not included but drink specials. I spoke with the hotel manager yesterday and they said with all of the alcohol restrictions in Salt Lake they r one of the few to host a party like this walking distance to the stadium. I will be in MAIZE!! GO BLUE!
I am staying at the university marriott and I called them and they said the tailgate party starts at 3:30. $20 per person food included but not alcohol. I will be wearing my maize and blue. Btw the Utah team is staying there and departing around 4:30pm
If they even think of hiring Cutcliffe OMG. Yea lets hire a guy with an overall losing record (40-47) like we did with Hoke. We need an elite coach, not a good coach
Completely agree. The only reason I feel JH is a strong possibility is he is cockey enough to just come out and end the speculation and he hasn't. That speaks volumes. He is just waiting to see the entire package and get the most he can. I would if I were him!
I think Hackett wants him to stay personally, but the fall out would be so great he would be rushed out next and that is why he goes. All the best to Hoke, he is a great man and good coach; just not an elite coach and that is what's needed in AA
The day coach Carr stepped down as head coach at Michigan I wanted Chris Petterson from Boise State to take over. Why? Because he knows how to win. Wether you come from an FBS school or FCS school we need to hire a coach with winning in their blood. They do NOT need to be a Michigan man! Hoke was brought in after Rich Rod with an over all losing record which astonished me. I saw this mess coming and especially saw it when my brother and I traveled to Arrlington TX to watch the Cowboy Classic Mich vs Bama in 2012. Before the game even started I remember looking at both sidelines. One was very focused and organized the other was not. Saban had his kids zoned in like a laser. Hokes not even close. I told my brother we r in big trouble not only for this game tonight but our future. I could not have been more right. If you look back that Bama game it was a turning point for Hoke. I do think Hoke is a good coach, but not ELITE. If you want to keep pace with Urban M, Saban, Etc...we must hire winners.
