There's a great sports bar in the Monte Carlo called The Pub. Big screens everywhere with over 300 beers to choose from. This is where I watched the playoffs on New Year's Day. They even have a huge drop down movie screen with couches to sit on, but I'm not sure they'll bring it out for a Thursday night game.
Retro Jordan's are exclusive, and will not be given to the team or custom made. Jordan Brand shoes are what the team will get, and those are shit. They aren't exclusive, or hard to buy. Like I said, Nike schools, like Kentucky or Duke, can wear retro Jordan's if the kids get their hands on them, same as us. But not vice versa.
I think the Jordan/Jumpman part is highly overrated. Jordan sponsored schools can only wear Jordan Brand shoes. Which means they won't be wearing Lebrons, Kobe's, Durant's, etc. While Nike schools can still wear Jordan's if they want, since they're owned by Nike. The next crop of kids being recruited weren't even born when Jordan retired.
I don't think you're serious, but if you are, go to miadidas.com. You can customize the shoe, the Adidas Crazy Fast, pretty much the exact same. You can even add a block M to the back of the shoe. As for the socks, they're extremely comfortable. The M on the back is on the Techfit jerseys. Most of the team stopped wearing them against Purdue. An easy way to tell, (besides the M missing) is the body is your typical mesh with holes in it. The techfit's are a solid material.
Absolutely. The Air Force Max being 3 is blasphemy. When I sold off my shoe collection years ago I kept only 1 pair, the Air Force Max's. They have too much sentimental value. They also made a huge error by excluding the Zoom Flight 95's.

UCLA can afford to pay a big name coach, the problem is they choose not to put booster money towards coaches salary. They actually divide the money up for all sports programs instead of giving greater chunks to football and basketball. I think that's Guerrero's decision. He's the one that really need to be canned. On the Rich Rod topic, I wouldn't mind seeing him go to Arizona.
I'm glad they decided to wear the Techfit jerseys this year. They said the team didn't like them and decided not to wear them last year. They're so much cleaner looking than the old ones.
I don't understand all the hype for Spotify. For the same price, $10 a month, Rhapsody does the same exact thing and it's been around for a while now. I actually pay $15 a month for Rhapsody so it will work on 3 separate devices, so both me and my girlfriend can use it on our phones at the same time.
Like many of you, I really hate when guys put their own last name on a jersey. Living in L.A., tons of Raider fans do this. But I hate jerseys with no name (that should have a name) even more. Mix in the fact that you're not allowed to put a college players name on a college jersey + turnover every few years, I've been seriously thinking about ordering an authentic jersey from MDen with my name on a #2 jersey (fave #). Too douchy? If they sold the new Adidas climawhatever jersey I think I'd pull the trigger.

Totally agree, Once Brothers was ridiculously good. When Vlade went to Drazen's grave for the first time I was fighting back the tears. Two Escobars was good, but I've seen so many Pablo docs already. I recommend Sins Of My Father, an HBO doc on Escobar's son.
The book actually touches on the "selling point" theory for recruits. They used Florida Atlantic as an example in 2008. FAU played at Michigan St that year. MSU's return trip had to be cancelled because FAU lost so much money on their bowl trip that they had to delay construction on their new stadium. MSU didn't have to pay them either, because the contract called for the stadium to be done. And the kicker was FAU finished with around the 120th ranked recruiting class.
The book is actually called Death to the BCS. I picked it up last night and shot thru half of it. It's a really good read, and will most likely piss you off.

I turned the game on, first time since last night, and my roster is completely different! I've got guys out of position, white guys who are black and vice versa. Not just for Michigan either, all teams. All the time I spent tweaking guys was all for not. This is fucked! Has this happened to anyone else on 360?
