guy has an nfl frame like i

guy has an nfl frame like i havnt seen come to UM since Braylon Edwards.  Definitely has some filling out to do but at 6'3 he has NFL written all over him.  That kid is gonna be good.

you make it sound like we

you make it sound like we cant keep playing these smaller schools.  Who says we cant play 2 out of division schools?

So you are saying that the

So you are saying that the millions of dollars that Michigan earns should share the wealth with the smaller less fortunate schools.  This is a communistic belief and as an American I can not agree with.  If I earn a million dollars a year I should be allowed to keep that money.  Why should I have to work hard just so that I have to give it away to someone who doesnt work hard.  Michigan and the rest of all the rich schools already have to share their tv revenue with the rest of the confrenece, its not their job to support the EMUs of the world.

nice to know meyer cant get

nice to know meyer cant get every recruit he wants.  cutose to hoke and staff for creating an environment that kids want to be around.

didnt know there were a few

didnt know there were a few calvin folk on this board.  I never graduated from there but i did attend there for a few years.  I was on campus today looking around the music building, holy shit.  That place is amazing.  Too bad they didnt have that building for me back when i was a student, I spent several hours a day practicing in that old shit hole they called the fac a few years back.  Nice to see my 100000 worth of debt go to something nice.

huh, that is kind of a jerk

huh, that is kind of a jerk move.  I do love greg mattison though.  I wouldnt say he is some god defensive coordinator but i will say he is really good and probably one of the best in college football.

not a thing in the house was

not a thing in the house was stirring, not even a buckeye.

obviously he is worried about

obviously he is worried about his health and wants to spend more time with his family.

There are some big

hit the post button twice, sorry.

There are some big

There are some big differences.  Meyer has won national titles coming out of the "best" confrence in college football.  Lets be honest, the sec is a really good confrence none the less.  Meyer is what I would consider a god recruiter.  Rrod was good at recruiting but nothing like Meyer.  Im actually a bit worried how our recruiting is going to do once meyer sets foot at OSU especially considering that we have to share the big ten foot print with Nebraska as well.  I love brady hoke but the cache with his name isnt even in the same ball park as Meyer nationally, yet.  A few good seasons by hoke can shorten the difference.  I would say meyer is smart in knowing he doesnt know defence and will bring in a proven d coordinator to run his own system.  There are no guarantees but I think meyer is as good a bet to be successful as anyone at OSU.  Ive been wrong before, I thought RR would be great at UM.

Been a long time since I have

Been a long time since I have posted here.  hope everyone has been doing well over the past year or so.  I am really looking foward to UM utilizing the QB run as an option and the read option.  Both plays are exciting and beautiful to watch.  I am going to miss seeing those plays get fazed out over the next several years as morris takes up the reigns of QB.

yes, i can confirm this.  I

yes, i can confirm this.  I think it was 6 or 7 recruits that were in for an official this weekend.

randy shannon would be a rock

randy shannon would be a rock star hire imo.  It will open up that pipline to florida never seen before.  I like it.  I would pay Shannon a million dollars a year to be the d coordinator.  He would definitely be worth it.

I have a news paper from

I have a news paper from after the first game Henne and Hart played in.  I also have a pair of michigan slippers that I wear all the time.  Sometimes to the store when I dont feel like putting on shoes.  I also have the fantastic memory of marquis walker doing the leap to tip the ball over double coverage to finally catch it in the air.

majoring in music myself and

majoring in music myself and it would definitely take a ton of time to create a piece. kids like the one in your high school are 1 in a 100 million. not many in the world can do that at the high school level.

well, i am going to take

well, i am going to take almost the complete opposite from everyone else on this board. I am a pretty experienced runner and have been fortunate enough to train with several well respected cross country coaches around the state of michigan. You should do your running before the lifting and here is why, you need to WARM up your muscles to prevent injury. No, stretching does not count as warming up. Stretching works best when blood is flowing drastically through your muscles. If you try to stretch at a resting state, not having had warmed up, your muscles can not stretch as much. The reason why running is such a great way to warm up is because instead of ripping the muscles like sprinting or heavy lifting does it loosens up the muscles and prevents the massive ripping from happening as fast. This only works though if you dont run too much. what is too much? that is going to depend on you. If your max miles is 4-5 then a warm up run would be something like 1-2 miles. If you run more than 1-2 then you are going to start this ripping process that you want the lifting process to do. Also stretching after your work out will allow your muscles to rebuild more efficiently than to not stretch at all.

if you all can come up with

if you all can come up with any other sources that would be great. I preferably need hard copy sources such as books, articles, electronic articles. I heard about The Big House. Does it delve much into Yosts impact on football or mostly his impact on the stadium?

sadly i live on the other

sadly i live on the other side of the state. I would definitely take you up on the offer if i were near ann arbor. thanks for the offer though.

the messages will are supposed to mailed out in bulk tomorrow. So make sure to send them to the rivals guy asap and preferable in pdf format.

about time, it wont surprise

about time, it wont surprise me if he gets a 5th on rivals sometime down the road. It probably wouldnt happen this coming re ranking but the next one imo.

come recruit unity christian

come recruit unity christian in hudsonville MI. Over the past 6 years we have broken not only offensive scoring records but defensive shut out records. We have won 5 straight state titles in class B and I believe we won a national title in 2007. Im sick of seeing our best players go to MSU such as Laura Heybor. Lets suit them up in the maiz and blue and kick some butt.

thanks for all the info you

thanks for all the info you gave me. I just havnt heard anything about muskegon in a while. Anyone know anything on their new coach? Is he supposed to be good? Was he a former assistant at Muskegon?

he did very well at the

he did very well at the Tennessee camp back in june and was only second to Jarvis Landry out of Lousiana if not equal with. Arnett has pretty good hands and his focus on going up for the ball is very good. He has quick feet and would do well to play in the slot. He also plays very big almost like a tight end where he has shown he can drag and fight off defenders and is very strong. Overall I think he is one of the best receivers in the 2011 class.

the thing about kinard is

the thing about kinard is that the staff at UM have known about him a long time becuase of the two upper classman that are going to UM this year. Im pretty sure they offered him early in the process and it sounds like they really like him. Ill be very surprised if he doesnt stay with us. But who knows. Crazier things have happened before. good topic.

Actually Gerg has clearly

Actually Gerg has clearly said he sees no reason to evaluate last years film because that isnt his defense nor his players. Some of those players left so a lot what he could be seeing is going to be moot because the personel is now different. He has stated that he is constantly studying spring film for hours on end. Apparently some of his players have walked into his office to tell him to stop working because that is all he does is watch game film and take notes. Im an insider so i cant give any links.

plus 1 for the cox joke and

plus 1 for the cox joke and its 2am.

thanks, but i wonder if the

thanks, but i wonder if the community is still growing? Now that we have implemented the point system are people joining mgoblog just as much? Dont quote me on this but I believe companies that post adds on any website want to know the amount of times a website is visited and joined. So if that number is going down Brian might have to open the community back up to noobs. what do you all think?

I was basing that off of what

I was basing that off of what rrod did at WVU. I wasnt thinking any teams in particular. Good question though. I love all the dissecting you all do on my post. It helps me to improve my writing and to look at other points of view.

plus 1 for making me laugh

plus 1 for making me laugh late at night.

i give you plus 1 for

i give you plus 1 for sticking to your guns and keeping your name. If you dont act stupid and post logical and insightful information people will accept you.

yea, i couldnt sleep so i was

yea, i couldnt sleep so i was prowling on rivals message board and stumbled across that info. Figured i should post the bad news asap.

there is a great chance we

there is a great chance we get this guy pretty soon.

i couldnt agree more with

i couldnt agree more with you. Also Pahokee is one of the hottest recruiting breeding grounds in the country, probably in the top ten year in, year out. I would bet most schools that can get their paws on the studs down in Pahokee will be willing to take the risk of a sketchy kid because they have so much talent. Im not saying that the kids from Pahokee are sketchy but clearly its difficult to grow up in that area. Heck, if this scares school away from recruiting that area then more studs for us.

if you could name the players

if you could name the players starting from the number 30 on the defensive line that would probably help.

Tell me if im guessing right but the NT is actually just a defensive tackle where as the DT in the 4-3 under is actually another defensive end? Are there supposed to be two defensive ends in the 4-3 under formation with 4 LBs one of them being brown? I guess im still confused as to why they call it a 4-3 when it has 3 lineman and 4 Lbs or 3Lbs with a safety plus the DBs. Thanks for trying to help. I really want to understand what i am going to be seeing this fall.

u should consider taping his

u should consider taping his games and posting them here on mgoblog. Or at least give us the stats from his games :). that would be really cool.

Muskegon has been

Muskegon has been consistently ranked nationally for the past half decade maybe whole decade. They have a lot of talent up there. From what i have noticed they seem to be quite similar in producing talent just like case tech. Recently i havnt noticed any big names come from there but it will come around again.

are we just naming UM players

are we just naming UM players from west MI? Ronald Johnson is a stud but he plays for USC. Ill try to think of more.

I like your break down of his

I like your break down of his quarterback abilities. You should do a critique of denards and gardners videos. I am definitely not one to even try to figure out what a good through versus a bad through looks like nor what proper arm motion should look like.

not that i want it to happen,

not that i want it to happen, but it wouldnt shock me in the least bit if a receiver that is committed to us decommits. I think we are at 5 receivers now. Im sure some of those commits have to be looking around at who is coming in with him and thinking he is never going to see the field. idk, just a hunch. Hopefully they all stay though.

that is false my friend. By

that is false my friend. By far and way Eugene Russau is the not only the best teach but probably in the top ten for best players in the world. He teaches at Minnesota university. He formally taught at Indiana University Jacobs school of music back in its hay day of being considered the best music school in the world, yes, even better than Julliard. Not only has he performed many concertos with some of the worlds most renown orchestras and bands he also assisted in founding the World Saxophone Congress. Michigan at one point did have the best saxophone teacher in Larry Teal but he is long gone and the saxophone studio at UM hasnt been as dominant since, though without a doubt it is a fine saxophone studio.

makes sense. thanks.

makes sense. thanks.

do you by chance have a link?

do you by chance have a link? I would be very interested to read that quote if you can find that. Thanks.

as of a few years ago their

as of a few years ago their education program was the best in the country hands down. Also joseph Lulloph is one of the best saxophone teachers in the country. Their wind ensemble is very good also. I would say all around a very good music program. I applied to MSU but wasnt good enough academically to get in. oh well, im very happy at calvin college.

if we keep on winning and

if we keep on winning and keep winning a game or two in the tourney at least two more years, the big name recruits in michigan will take notice. Every few years there is a five star or two and we are bound to get one if we just keep winning. If we can get just one big name player there is a good chance at going deep into the tourney, maybe even a championship? This will give us national relevance and kids will want to come play for us, just like recruits want to play for Calipari. This will allow Beiline to recruit the best kids for his system, possibly giving us near top recruiting classes.

hopefully we go after avery

hopefully we go after avery johnson. He really stresses defense.

this is a weird commitment.

this is a weird commitment. I wish the ncaa would crack down and not allow scouting until after their freshman football season ends or something.

meh, hopefully we will get

meh, hopefully we will get white.
