Whenever there is a national debate, you can be assured Kanell will be feverishly fighting for any ACC team involved. This time it's Drake Maye and UNC.
It's gotten kind of weird. I used to like the guy, but the shilling is getting old.
My guess is you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the situation. You're also treating any other opinion on this thread as an irrational absolute while seeing your own as balanced and without consequence. That's a "you" problem, and people shouldn't have to suffer that banal perspective.
If you really believe the ends justify the means and doing what's "necessary to win" is the logical argument (regardless of legality), everything contrary to that is going to seem "holier than thou".
I don't think the Michigan Athletic department wants to become another bidder at the auction (at least not as the only barometer of future success)... and that's a choice that should not determine the success of a football team at the college level. They would much rather hang their laurels on personal/character development as an intrinsic value rather than monetary player transactions. I don't think Harbaugh believes in "Fuck you, pay me". I could be wrong!
While those two things are not mutually exclusive, the overlap is probably not as balanced as some want desperately to believe. In the current landscape, that's a gamble that may be costly if all of College Football outside of Michigan adopts a pay-to-win mentality. At that point, College Football becomes a completely different entity altogether.
After the MSU game I decided to stop shaving for the first time in my adult life (i'm mid 30's). The beard is a bit stringy on the cheeks, but the team has won every game since.
This game would have been a blowout had the OSU receivers not made a couple of season highlight catches. Some of those plays where on like 3rd and 19. With all that said, the Defense really showed up in the red zone. Nothing was free.
This is Texas' first 5-game losing streak since 1956
Steve Sarkisian is now 50-41 all-time as a head coach. He has just two seasons where he has won more than 7 games.
Texas hasn't finished in the AP Top 20 in back-to-back years since 2008-2009.
From 1901-2015, Kansas beat Texas twice. They've also beat them twice since 2016.
Texas was favored by 31 points over Kansas.
Sarkisian has finished better than 3rd in his division just once as a head coach.
Texas has 52 blue-chip recruits on their roster. Kansas has 1.
Texas has to beat West Virginia and Kansas State to make a bowl. If they do not, it'll be their first time missing a bowl since the Charlie Strong era.
Tom Herman never had more than a two-game losing streak in a season. Sark has almost tripled that in his debut season.
Ever since Bevo's cowardly attack on Uga in the Sugar Bowl, the Longhorns' total wins have decreased each season (10-8-7-4)
Texas has lost consecutive games at home for the first time since 2016.
Texas had won 79 straight games as a 24+ point favorite.
I think the firey aspect of Harbaugh on a Michigan sideline is gone. And I don't necessarily think it was something Harbaugh wants... But, rather, he is being commanded to stop.
Bo is one of the most overrated coaches in college football history.
Rich Rod was set up for failure and his lack of success is far less on him than people will ever admit.
There hasn't been one time I can recall where coming out of the endzone benefitted Michigan this year. Crawford and Ambry Thomas both seem to have the green light and the blocking is what seems most atrocious. But that could be due to the fact that a few have been taken out from halfway into the end-zone.
Nothing irks me more than starting out a drive, after an opponent score, inside the 15 because of this. It's completely avoidable.
I think explosiveness doesn't necessarily mean throw long bombs. The idea being as long as your efficient, eventually a play, no matter what it is, is going to be explosive. Whether that's a 80 iso run up the gut or a go route doesn't matter.
Or am I missing something?
"Since that was a fourth-down attempt by Wisconsin, Lewis should have just batted that ball away, but the loss of field position might have been worth it, just to put the fear of God into the rest of the Big Ten."
I think it's pretty clear that the performance of the Oline and the RBs had more to do with UCF stacking 8-9 guys in the box rather than the ability/playcalling of the oline and rb players on the field.
From what I understand, Malbach makes a ton of money for a longsnapper and he is approaching retirement I believe. It's a cap move if anything and heir apparent when Malback leaves.
Really like the insight by Wormley. Seems obvious once he said it, but I never really saw it that way. The Florida trip, Ford Field, keeps the team focused on the team instead of the monotomy of what I imagine spring practices in Ann Arbor can be.
Though I honestly haven't had much experience with east side eateries, I'm convinced there isn't a better burger in Michigan than at Stella's in Grand Rapids.
Rumor is the Treetops staying fraternity has been doing this for years and they bring money for said damages with them. Treetops is holding onto bad finanacial debt that's far too old. Money like this for "repairs" is a nice little infusion.

I don't see a world where David Bell drops to #97. That would be awesome for Detroit, but I don't see it.
I don't follow the draft that well... but Bell is first or second-round talent IMO

Huh?
The lame "look at me talk about cancelling my season tickets" group has officially returned. Incredible.

If you're trying to avoid the overly smokey and peaty types and would prefer a more complex malt, I would suggest any Speyside variety.
My personal favorite is Cragganmore, but Aberlour is another fine choice IMO.
If you'd rather go the peaty route, Laphroaig is a good start.
The "sources" going around seem to say OC/WR coach.

No.

Once again, Michigan is the highest ranked 2 loss team. The commitee likes this team, they just need to endear them a bit more with W's.
Money quote from RCMB
"Easily could be 4-5. Rutgers, Purdue, Michigan, and Oregon all could've went the other way. It was always coming, just took a while."
About damn time.
What relation do you have to Wilton? Seems evident.
Being the highest ranked 2 loss team says a lot IMO

GQ rated it the best burger in the US in 2012.
