Not sure if anybody already posted this, but it gives me hope for the future...

I found it interesting the other coaches that OSU interviewed.

"I had never coached a day as a head coach until I came here," he said. He added that until he actually coached at a major program with the resources of Ohio State, "I don't think anyone knows for sure."

Ohio State's other finalist was Minnesota's Glen Mason, a former Ohio State player and a member of the same Buckeyes coaching staff as Tressel for two years. Mason interviewed earlier Wednesday. Before flying back to Minnesota, he told reporters that his visit went well.

Geiger told Jeff Logan, a member of the advisory committee, that Mason was "devastated" when told that Tressel would be the new coach.

 

Tressel was expected to sign a multiyear contract paying him in excess of $1 million a year. His Youngstown State contract, which was to run out in June, gave him a base salary of $88,500 and a $20,000 annual stipend to also serve as athletics director. For winning a national championship, Tressel received an extra $5,000.

Others who either interviewed or spoke with Ohio State officials about the job included Oakland Raiders coach Jon Gruden, Oregon coach Mike Bellotti, current Buckeyes assistant head coach Fred Pagac, former Ohio State and NFL linebacker Chris Spielman and Stanford head coach Tyrone Willingham

Rich Rod tells a future employer that a player is lazy.  Any boss would do this in a business setting if he thought employee A was a piece of crap.  RR told it like it was - in his opinion.  Why should he stick up for a kid who didn't do all he could for RR's program.  Maybe the kid should have worked harder and been a better leader.  Then he might have gotten a better review.  I'm sure there are tons of cases of players getting badmouthed about their attitudes to NFL scouts.  Carr shouldn't have said anything - it's no longer his place for that B.S.  Keep your 2 cents to yourself. 

Good luck to Morgan in the future.  Let's hope he doesn't run into MIke Williams or any other former USC receiver ever again.  He might get 3rd degree burns.

All I have to say is that the NCAA has about as much credibility as the bullshit United Nations.

Iran (USC) "Piss off NCAA we will give SUVs to whomever we want. And then our RB will bang one of the Kardashian sisters." (after a terrible singer with an even worse show has rammed her).

North Korea (TENN)- "eat our poop NCAA we don't care if you don't like us sending hookers to watch players games." (I'm just suspecting that TENN has hookers working for them.)

Just nailed a free throw to ice the win for the Warriors over the Atlanta Hawks. Is it ironic that Jamal Crawford got a technical with 30 seconds left and the game tied at 104. Looks like Jamal is still making bad decisions.
