One thing that I have always noticed historically is that it is always a struggle to play at Madison. Michigan has always been flat coming out up there and it’s hard to get a good lather going. So when adversity comes it’s hard to overcome it. I primarily think it’s attributed to “noon” start time which is 11 am Madison time. Do you guys think the time adjustment is a factor?
This is kind of related but anyone frustrated as to why every program in the country has content up about their camps except ours? It wouldn’t hurt to post a 60 sec video of drills on Instagram.
Yes the officers handled themselves very well. But given the history of police shootings involving Black men I don't think this video is funny regardless of where Malik went to school. This could've ended tragically. I'm glad he's still alive after this and no one involved was hurt.
I don’t know about everybody else but I’m tired of this “the sun will rise tomorrow” “there’s next year” bullshit. I’m not used to this. This isn’t the Michigan football I grew up loving in the late 80s and through the 90s where it seemed like the last game of the season was a given. I’m really in a loss for words. This game, this coaching, this execution today was beyond horrible and for the first time since Coach Harbaugh came back I’m now beginning to question the direction of this program. Maybe it’s the emotions talking. Maybe I’ll feel better on December 25th but maybe not because we won’t have a big ten championship or playing in the playoffs. As someone pointed out earlier this was supposed to be the second time we had a “better team” than osu and we still didn’t get it done. I frankly don’t care about wins against Michigan State, Wisconsin, or Penn State because they’re all mediocre teams this season if we’re being honest. This last game of the year ALWAYS matters and being from Columbus and living here I’m tired of waiting another 365 days and seeing the number of days Michigan last best osu on the dispatch website. I don’t know if it’s the culture or what but something has to change. There needs to be a sense of urgency. Yeah the recruits are coming in but beating osu and Big 10 championships are what matter. So forget the 10-2 was a great season fluff because guess what we still don’t have a big ten championship and that was the goal.
This again....you do realize last year we were 6 yards away from having a 1,000 yard rusher in Karan Higdon? Someone who started off the year 3rd on the depth chart? 6 yards away with the line we had last year. And not to mention Chris Evans who gives us production each play. The RB coach isn’t an issue.
If you want to travel to Columbus for a nice steak I would suggest The Top Steakhouse. It is in Bexley (suburban Columbus/eastside). This is one of the top steakhouses in the city and it gives an old Godfather atmosphere. For breakfast/brunch I would suggest Northstar cafe if you want to do that.
Here is a little perspective for the "Drevno can't recruit" party. Looking at his all time recruits on 247 he is/was the primary recruiter for Jalen Mayfield (#268 overall, #16 OT), Nolan Rumler (2019 #65 overall, #4 OG), Big Mike Onwenu, and Chuck Filiaga. He was also the secondary recruiter for Ben Bredeson and Cesar Ruiz. Drevno has been in on some major needs and gets for the OL. Let's not get bent out of shape.
I'm late to the party, but can someone help me understand how our recruits are able to sign early? Is there an early siging period or are they signing their financial aid agreements?
Here are a few wildcard coaches I don't believe anyone has brought up. Broncos OC Adam Gase and Patriots OC Josh McDaniels. Both are young coaches in their 30s with great offensive minds. Gase was born in Ypsilanti and went to msu and was on Coach Saban's staff at LSU. McDaniels is looked at as a QB coach and offensive guru and has head coaching experience with thw Broncos. He was born and raised in Ohio and played at Canton McKinley HS (an Ohio powerhouse) and later John Carroll. He was also on Coach Saban's staff while he was at msu. Both come from the Saban coaching tree which I think is a plus. Just throwing these names out there.
I understand the reference and connotation, but using the "crack house" incident as an analogy to another Black Male athlete at Michigan can come across as steretypical, racist, and ignorant.
Living in Columbus on the last Saturday in November whenever our team comes here I would drive by the hoeshoe (yes hoeshoe) to see the truck. I get excited every time.
I can't understand for the life of me people are acting like this was scheduled last year. This was scheduled years in advance. Would this game have been a bad idea if the results were slightly different? I'm just confused why everybody is crying? It's done with. Air Force is next now let's focus our energy on that.
