OK, this is the only place I can post this where I won't sound like a raving lunatic. I live in Evanston, and one of the highlights is when Michigan comes to town. My kids and I run right over to the stadium to get a look at the equipment truck. A friend and fellow alum just sent me a picture, so I'm going to head over there now. Even in the midst of all the tumult, I still get excited when my team comes to town. Go Blue! Beat the Cats!
The equipment truck is here!
Raving lunatic or not, I love the enthusiasm. Enjoy!
enthusiasm? I'm dreading the game, because Gardner will be hit a bunch, Fitz will run into 2 linemen in the backfield, and Denard will shead tears for his screwed teammates.
some football players show up too...
...and some coaches don't
I would hope all the coaches show up figuratively. I know you're being sarcastic, but Al Borges at his best is pretty good, good enough to beat NW, and I want a win.
2 games, OSU 2011 and ND 2013...
There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid
Seek help and don't get excited. We will come away with a loss on Saturday.
Hello, Debbie Downer. How art thou on this not-so-cold but also not-so-warm day?
Its not cold where I am. Still a loss.
Don't listen to these negative nancies! Good for you! Children have to learn the hard truths regarding disappointment some day!
Just kidding; sounds like fun! I hope you (and the rest of us) have fun tomorrow. We are watching college kids play a game, after all.
Check on the uniforms for us fans!
Sure hope Michigan didn't pack their blood splattered flag uniforms, because that'd be awfully embarrassing.
You never know. The bumblebee uniform fiasco of 2011 was a "surprise".
I hope they run out wearing these.
Or it could be a good time to debut the maize jerseys...
Don't worry, Falk washed out the blood spatters after both the MSU and Nebraska games.
that is the Michigan Truck!
Living in Columbus on the last Saturday in November whenever our team comes here I would drive by the hoeshoe (yes hoeshoe) to see the truck. I get excited every time.
"Hoeshoe". Aren't you clever!
At least somebody's excited, I guess.
In my years of covering Michigan football, I once met the driver of said equipment truck...and it was not at a game. If he is still the one who drives, he lives within about 30 minutes from where I am typing this. The stories he must have of Jon Falk. Note to self: Would make for an interesting interview.
then he would a golf cart and forget about the truck because its a golf cart.
My brother and I were walking around the athletic campus last Saturday looking at some of the renovations and we ended up cutting across the parking lot next to Schembechler Hall. Coach Funk's reserved parking space was empty. The joke that we made was almost too easy.
The equipment truck driver for Michigan's lack of O-line push.
here in Vegas
As long as you're going over there, you should help unload.
If you tell me how to embed/download/upload/whatever, I'll post it. It looks awesome!
Edit: OK, need help.
The link appears to go to Facebook. Are your albums public? That might be part of why we an't see it, but I am not totally sure how that works on Facebook.
Just posted the pic in the thread.

Thanks, that worked. check out the pic at the top of the thread.
Teach Hoke how to coach.
I'm psyched. I'm going to see the truck when Michigan plays Maryland in 2015. Like everything else about this team, I'm waiting til 2015. Now I'm not psyched. Now I'm bi-polar.
I do admire the enthusiasm. I would run over there myself too with my kids, but it is difficult to run over to a place that is about 5 hours distant. I actually got stuck behind Purdue's in 2011 when I was trying to head back to the office from a meeting though, so there is that.
If you can, Wendyk5, post some photos later!
Wendy5k - pics or GTFO...wait, nevemind, not on RCMB.
This is my fourth attempt to post this picture.
Even now with the way things have gone the past few weeks, I'm still getting jittery and excited to watch Michigan play tomorrow!
a Michigan OL whiffing on a block?
Great stuff Wendy! Go Blue!
but those mud flaps scream "lack of toughness" to me.
A few points:
1. Stop with the Dick Rod crap. Take that 12 year old stuff to mlive. He did a poor job but the Man busted his ass for our university for three years. I say this , despite being one of his most vocal critics around here.
2. This girls are just not that hot. Sorry. They are average. Just saying.
I graduated in 1987 and we were not just hopeful but certain that we were going to win. So 1986 is my guess.
I remember her and that wistful look. It was at the Hoops NC game in April, at the end of the game.
it was following the team buses leaving Penn State.
Now I feel sad.
Excited for you and the kids! The more the people on MGOBLOG get down on the team, the more I support them!! Go Blue! Also, did you know you can have the equipment truck move you? I Moved from Kzoo to Freeland and used Stevens. We asked for the equipment truck and it was available (June). Needless to say, we had immediate friends and enemies in the 'hood.
That is a very cool story.
It's too late for me to get married in Michigan Stadium, but it's not too late to hire "MGoBlue" movers! Thanks for the excellent tip!
If ever I move, I will most assuredly be using the M truck. Awesome.
on the I-80/I-90 toll road in Indiana at like 3 am last weekend (returning from a big poker game) when i came up on the Penn State football truck.
I thought it was cool (its pretty plain compared to the Miichigan truck for sure) and i honked like crazy while i passed it and they saw my M plate and honked and flashed the lights back to me.
Dont know why i got such a huge kick out of that.....but i did.
Yup the truck is cool
Was my locker room for 5 years. We always found the game notes and agendas that Joe Pa, Tressell, and Carr left behind. some interesting stuff.
