"Northwestern fans can be both heartened and disheartened by the loss to Minnesota just like how nineteenth-century resurrectionists were heartened when they pried a heart from a freshly-buried corpse and then disheartened it when they sold it to a disreputable anatomist."

Best post comment I've seen in a while. Well said.

Every time I log onto MGoBlog this time of year, I do so with worrisome-hesitation.

With a little bit of Kentucky sprinkled.
|10 weeks 6 days ago||97.1||
I remember listening to 97.1 using a smartphone app on the way to Indy for the Michigan-Kentucky basketball game earlier this year.
I never would have considered that a Detroit sports radio station would seldomly bring up the MSU-UCONN game and UM-UK so that they could use 95% of the air time debating "if there is one rule in sports we would want to change today..."
Discussions like that are for slow days...

Do you guys think Michigan will have any others in the Top-100? Maybe besides Funchess?
|12 weeks 1 day ago||I mentioned that I already||
I mentioned that I already tried multiple online sources and that I apologize if the topic is inappropriate for this site. Additionally, I think many users here would agree that this website is more than a sports blog.

Do they have any studio apartments or 1 BR there?

Ventura Court would be within my distance range. Do you know the name of the place/address? Thanks!

Killing it with that avatar too! I'll let you know if I find anything good! I'm actually planning on getting a new puppy so I'm still between a few options.

Also, the NBA is the only league that has a team that fires a guy (George Karl) the year he wins Coach of the Year.
I think the difference between professional leagues is with only 5 players on the court at one time, and 12-15 player rosters, overall talent is more transparent than the NFL for example, which features 22 starters and many more players playing regularly. Increased transparency in talent and superstar talent probably creates greater expectations on a year to year basis--warranted or not.

|30 weeks 6 days ago||Oh, confirmation bias||
Oh, dat confirmation bias....Michigan lost to Penn State last year and then went to the Championship Game.
I sincerely hope State disappoints, but for most (if not all) teams in the field, you could cherry pick disappointing games on their schedule. Also, UNC is a quality team.
|31 weeks 1 day ago||Overall, yes||
Overall, yes....but that statement is a little off-base since you're talking about a team that has won 6 in a row and back in the playoff picture (granted, in the Eastern Conference).
|31 weeks 2 days ago||Question..||
I apologize if this is listed somewhere else, but does anyone have a short list of the games we could keep an eye on today that will affect our seeding?
|34 weeks 23 hours ago||Of course||
Of course, my post is in reply to the mgobloggers ranking the Big Ten arenas.
|34 weeks 23 hours ago||State Farm Center (Assembly Hall II)||
Don't forget, despite their lack of recent contention, Assembly Hall in Champaign (now State Farm Center) is still pretty damn loud and a fantastic arena to watch a basketball game. The Orange Krush is a firmly organized and noisy student section/campus organization.

Yes, he only made "one play" but playing corner isn't solely about pass deflections and interceptions. They only THREW at Sherman one other time, which basically means he potentially shut down his assigned receiver every other play during the game.

Maybe I missed this from somewhere else, but does anyone know a timeframe for those announcements? I am nowhere near a TV but I would like to pull up a stream on my computer when the time comes.

My grandma almost couldn't attend graduation this past May because she has a back issue and she needed one of those "seat back cushion" cushion things. We had to call her doctor in New York so he could send a doctor's note email expressing her problem. This was the only way we could bring the dangerous device inside Michigan Stadium:

Or the "only in Ohio, does it _________"
When it is exactly the same in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana.....etc.

From what I've heard from experts, I think JR is still sticking around. He's still an extremely high value considering his salary, on a team that doesn't have much cap space for improvement.
Also, most Knick fans love JR SWISH, despite his mediocrity this playoff season.
