This is the news I have been waiting for. This kid is an absolute stud. 57-yard field goal...even off a block that is beyond impressive in a game. Would like to see more consistency with regards to his accuracy, but that's something you expect to see refined as he grows at Michigan. Definitely an added bonus by filling a hole here without wasting a scholarship. Well done, Hoke. |

Anyone know of a live stream of the IUPUI game tonight? I checked WatchESPN, but it seemingly didn't make the slate. Thanks in advance. |

I will be absolutely devastated if he can't play against Iowa this weekend. Not only is this his last game in the Big House, but these last two games are must wins and there is no one that I would rather have at the helm. Moreover, I know we haven't forgotten Nard's performance against Ohio last year... After all that he's done for us throughout one of the most timultuous stretches of our program's history, I feel that he is surprisingly underappreciated. I sometimes think that people forget how much of a class act this guy is. Never gets down on himself or his team, takes shot after shot and plays through pain, and has grown ten fold as a team leader since his sophomore season. Granted, I am excited about Michigan's future as this and last year's recruiting classes get on campus and come to fruition. I'm sure that Devin will be fantastic leading the team next year and possibly the year after. However (and as Devin said), this is Denard's team and he has earned that right. As one of the most prolific offensive players in our storied program's history, Denard will be sorely missed...whether or not we think so right now. Get well, Nard. |

Anyone know how Shane Morris played tonight? I know that they won, but I was trying to check out some stats/footage and I couldn't find anything. |

Soooo I have a 90th birthday party to attend AKA send off party. After, I'll be watching the game in Pittsburgh at the Michigan friendly bar (according to MGoBlog's map) the Fox and Hound. Should be a decent evening. |

I agree 100%. You hold yourself to a different standard as a UM football player. Hoke can't set a lenient precedent like this in one of his first disciplinary decisions of his tenure. |

I was unaware of this. I suppose I am a little outdated, since my last visit was for the UM v. MSU bball game. Good to know--Thanks sir. |

When it comes to taking your girl with you to a bar in NY (I live here), head to The Hill on 29th and 3rd. Nice spot with a cool atmosphere and isn't always crazy crowded like the other two Michigan Bars are. In general, there are three "main" Michigan bars in the City: The aforementioned Brother Jimmy's (always jammed but fun) and Professor Thoms (young crowd, jammed), and The Hill. I'm sure the Hill will also be quite busy, but its much more of an upscale bar and laid back atmosphere in comparison to the other two. |

Not the best picture, but you get the idea. She's a looker. She sits there every game that I've attended so far, presumably so she has the best (disinterested) view of A-Rod at third. Recently discovered that she's also a former pro wrestler...intersting how some things come to be. Anyway, if you look closely in the background, you can see Granderson up to bat. He's really the only reason I go to watch that God forsaken club. Go Tigers!

I sat next to A-Rod's new girl the other day at Yankee Stadium. Fun fact: She's really hot. |

I generally judge my tip by the pen that I am given for my signature...If he/she presents me with a Waterman-esque ballpoint, he/she will be tipped accoringly. If he/she provides me with a bic or #2 pencil, I can't justify anything over a single. It's all about the presentation, gentlepeople. |

A fine Cab and some Stella for later. Hoping this night will somehow produce a worthy draft of my personal statement...but more than likely it will only result in a morning filled with Tums and Advil. |
| 45 weeks 6 days ago | Read this |
Read this earlier today and loved it. I can't get enough of how Molk deals with the media like he's talking to his friends. I'll never forget his fearless nature in classes at UM. Kid would speak up on any matter to which he had an opinion. Most of the time, his anecdotes were both hilarious and completely off topic. Nonetheless, the kid always made my discussions much more interesting. |

According to Tom V. in the live chat, the NCAA has said that it MIGHT allow teams to exceed the scholarship limits because of the uniqueness of the PSU situation. |
| 47 weeks 2 days ago | Delaney |
Just mentioned on the B1G teleconference that the B1G would be as amenable as possible to all PSU student-athletes that wish to transfer within the conference. Becasue of the uniqueness to the situation, the student-athletes' interests have to be taken into consideration moreso than than some of the existing stipulations regarding intraleague transfers of the past. IMO, this is probably the appropriate decision. There are a lot of kids who come from the midwest and location is always a big factor in college decision--wouldn't be fair to limit their transfers to another conference in a different region. |

He plays for an average prep school football team. How can you question the kids ability when he not only competes against the TOP talent in the NATION during 7 v 7 tournaments and elite 11 camps in the summer, but stands out as the best amongst all QBs? ...But then again I wouldn't argue with a Sparty about this. If I was to argue in such a speculative and irrational nature, however, I might point to the fact that Sparty is putting its 2012 hopes in a quarterback whose recent 2011 experience includes four games against terrible opponents, and total of 1 career TD. But that's only if I was feeling irrationally speculative. |
