Your assertion that 15 minutes of stretching is unethical isn't even a stretch (see what I did there), it's just straight up ridiculous and wrong. Now the concussion thing, that's potentially, and is in my opinion, unethical, but don't get me started on the stretching.
So yes, we will protest an AD that has more focus on catering to corporations than we will when we have a coach run over practice for a couple of minutes.
And no, it's not about wins. We sucked then and we suck now...

I feel like the criticism of Hoke has subsided and everyone is squarely focused on Brandon lately. No one thinks he is a good coach and we all know it was a mistake, but we are really analyzing the AD's handling of the entire situation.
Hoke has always been bad at handling scrutiny (because he doesn't answer difficult questions), but that's not his job. He needs to coach and the AD should be backing him up and helping him through, which they are decidely not.
I really wish that someone would try to understand what is really going on in A2 rather than just make ridiculous assertions.
|3 weeks 16 hours ago||Boy those were a great five minutes||
Really, it represents the only five minutes this year that have been ok. WHYYYYY?!??!
|6 weeks 2 days ago||The Mattison Conversation||
The Mattison conversation is the same as the Hoke. At that point we are questioning the entire positioning of the football team (as well as the AD hopefully).

Hope he fully recovers and heads to the NFL instead of coming back next year.

I am trying to find t he article, but since Morgan is like 45 years old it doesn't exist anymore haha. Basically his own dad didn't understand why Michigan offered. HIS DAD! My dad threw sunshine wherever I went in anything that I was remoteley good at until well into college. Morgan went from where his father was skeptical, to solid BIg Ten player. Also, he's been that way forever. Love the dude.

I know that sounds weird and it would be awesome to have them back, but we need to think about the legitimacy of the word of this staff. Obviously we don't know what the staff said behind closed doors, but GR3 and MM were mid first round picks last year and they came back. That could very easily be perceived as the coaching staff not having the best interests of their players on their mind.
Obviously there is a mountain of data to say otherwise, but the reality is that GR3 and MM were legitimately our best prospects of the last decade. They should have had much better shots of going to the NBA, and had that opportunity last year, for this staff to be considered true savants of developing talent.
Granted much of this is moot because I have come to trust this staff more than is reasonably possible. We know the team will improve, will bounce back, and will ALWAYS find talent no matter the ranking. It would just be lovely to take that next step of not having to have a convergence of luck and talent to be a truly elite team (though you could also easily argue that we are at that stage now).
Well, apparently I have no point. I just hope for GR3 and MM that they get drafted high this year or some year because they are good players and I can only hope they get what's best for them.
|36 weeks 6 days ago||Not caring||
I will check at the end of the day to make sure that everyone signed, but were really not in it for anyone anymore. Kind of a disapointing end to the recruiting cycle, though I am not suprised.
|37 weeks 5 days ago||That was me||
Let me tell you, I would only wish that on Ohio State fans, and probably Michigan State. But no one else!
|37 weeks 5 days ago||It is embarassing||
There is an inch of snow in ATL right now, I am here right now, and there is just mass chaos. It took 2 hours to drive 8 miles yesterday and basically the entire city is shut down. Reason 7,000 I could never live in the south.
Hopefully everyone is safe though. I know a bunch of people abandoned their cars and got in crashes, so I hope everyone stays safe.

He is pretty solid right now, but he could potentially lead a program in a year or two.

I even hate the pistons for not drafting Trey. Would have loved to go to the Palace to watch him play...
|39 weeks 3 days ago||Hoke Road Woes||
Until we win a big game on the road I would assume that all of those games are losses. Other than that I think we could drop one of the Rutgers, Northwestern, Penn State, or Utah games next year. So honestly I think 8-4 or 9-3 next year honestly and we wouldn't have any real quality wins which might put us at the end of the top 25.

a2_electricboogaloo and I are getting gratuitous amounts of Srippels (Strippers and Belgian Style Tripels, 10% ABV) and we're going to black out and have a great time until this blows over or all sports cease to exist. All are invited! #MGOSTRIPPELPARTY!
|48 weeks 4 days ago||Why didn't the coaches tell him he could do whatever||
The difference in education for engineering is comical...Why did Michigan take that off the board. Whelp...bad month of coaching decisions.
|49 weeks 3 days ago||You're Just Jealous||
Arrogant Hinsdale Central/Michigan Alum.
Haha, but who really cares about high school anymore?
|1 year 3 weeks ago||Well here are some reasons||
1) We go to the 28th best school in the nation in a depresed economy for college grads where grades are extremely important and going to a freaking basketball game might not be feasible because I need to make sure I handle the thing that is most important to my future success.
2-25) See above, that is every justification that could possibly be needed and the only reason that I missed games (about 10 last year)
Stop blaming students. They have lives and things that need to be done. Also, I agree with the idea that they are legitimately losing their fanbase. I honestly don't want to support this AD anymore and it is honestly making me think about ways to stop. It makes me think about how I could most hurt them because I am so sick of their actions. To even have this idea as a freshman would be ludicrous, but 4 years of constant crotch kicking has changed my ideology. I am about to miss my first game in 4 years due to work and I am coming to terms because I hate this AD so much and probably will not be buying tickets next year.
As to the people who say good riddance, I am not the type of fan you want gone. I have missed 2 quarters in 4.5 years and can count the number of times I have missed the band entering the field.
Whatever maybe Brandon get a corpohumanoid to take my place in the student section to scream out advertisements.

Come on Ace. I expect better. I kid sorta, he's just from my high school so I kind of think its cool.
|1 year 6 weeks ago||Sectioning with GA 30 minutes before the game||
Seniors get rows 1-25, Juniors 26-50 so on and so on. Each section with be roped off and there will be some way to seperate them to make sure that people don't move up and down, the bracelets last night would be good. 30 minutes before the game the ushers remove the ropes and people can move down. That way you have a HUGE incentive for the Juniors/Seniors to get there 30 minutes before the game while not screwing them over. It would take as many ushers last night, so that's not preventative and it wouldn't waste hours and hours.
Obviously this would have its problems too, but I think its a balanced and reasonable approach. Also already sent an email to the AD and got a canned response. I am almost to the point of not wanting to buy/support this crap with my feet. That pains me though because I love watching and participating but the AD makes it so hard to do so.
|1 year 6 weeks ago||Purdue||
MSU isn't even close. Purdue is awful. MSU has a legit defense that is going to keep them in a lot of games. Purdue has nothing.
|1 year 6 weeks ago||That's one cheer||
Seriously did you look at the students though. It was pathetic at how bad the students were. THEY DIDN"T KNOW WHICH VERSE OF THE VICTORS WE WERE ON. That actually happened. I forgot about that, but that happened almost every time we sang. The damn stupid freshmen didn't know the words to The Victors. That is what you get with this system. Pathetic.
|1 year 6 weeks ago||Then why did you come to this thread||
The thread is literally, or seems to be, about what we think. So what do you expect. Students don't like it because it is a lazy short term ideology, which the AD is becoming notorious for, to accomplish something but could very detrimental in the long term as students don't want to go as often.
We can have our opinion, and I think most people think that the process should've changed, but the AD just really lazy.
|1 year 6 weeks ago||It has major downfalls||
First the students were pretty tired. I don't know if you guys noticed but the student section wasn't nearly as loud as it was for UTL 1 or Ohio two years ago. Secondly, the Freshmen and underclassmen that get there early have no idea what 90% of the chears are. People kept trying to do the wave up 4 points, a no-no, don't know what a key play is, don't know the kickoff norms, really they didn't know anything. All of the people around me just looking at me and my friends who knew what we were doing.
I still stand by the opinion that you could accomplish literally the same thing without screwing the students and their saturday over. I think it was just a lazy decision by the AD.
In other news the halftime show was the best I have seen since I started coming to Michigan games.

Are also hinting at something. Something's happened, guess well have to wait and see...
|1 year 18 weeks ago||Volleyball||
Everyone is on top of each other, the arena is packed, it's loud, and the fans know and love volleyball. Honestly it is a great experience and as a student it was really cool to see parents yelling louder and going crazier than the students. I know the arena is up for a renovation but I hope it still has its flavor.
|1 year 25 weeks ago||They're devil horns||
I went to Hinsdale central and the devil horns we're everywhere. To put it in perspective, our devil horns were like the wings on the football helmets a couple years ago. Every athlete had to earn them in the offseason and preseason. Sorry, that's a little random, but I personally love the helmets and their true uniqueness.
|1 year 25 weeks ago||How?||
Everyone is going to move up like never before, yeah you might be able to regulate upper from lower, but it will be worse. Also this doesn't stop people from not showing, it rewards people for showing early. Two completely separate things.
