The audio started right away and It took me a while to figure out where the second audio stream was coming from. I ended up muting all sound until I found the clip running quite far down in the thread. The option of starting the clip or not would make the experience more enjoyable.
I don't recall Jabrill's "recruitment" as being a spectacle with commitments, de-commitments, "leader board" changing numerous times etc. While you could say his announcement was. His announcement was a onetime event.
I would agree with HarbinDarbins take. While I don’t remember all the recruitments it seems that the players that were fickle don’t seem to live up to their billing.
Sparty.. IIRC The way they built that program was with 2-3 star prospects. Red shirting them and coaching them up. They see the field after 3 to 4 years. They are just now starting to get the higher ranked prospects.
I feel the staff is taking players they think can be coached up and contribute later in their careers. Also these commits should not interfere with other higher ranked targets looking at the Michigan program and seeing a crowded roster. Lastly as far as I can tell most if all are players that have a shot at multiple positions decreasing their bust rate and increasing their ability to contribute.
Here is a quote from mlive regarding his contract. It does not say how much he gets to use the private for recruting. My guess is he uses both... A LOT!
Also, Harbaugh will be allowed to use a private aircraft for recruiting purposes. Additionally, he'll be allowed up to 25 hours per year in private aircraft travel for personal, non-football related use
