If my feeble mind isn't totally failing me, I think they were separate storefronts at the time with the Delta on the corner and the arcade next door.

Detroit has a resident income tax as well as one for people who work in the city. I believe its 2.5% for residents and half that for non-residents who work there.

My daughter is a freshman living in Bursley and they were ordered to the basement a while ago and still there. Although now there is a flood warning.

By the look on the faces of the audience, I think Dantonio just sprung from his wheelchair ala Dr. Strangelove.

Meant to say the most underrated DRINK in the country. Apparently, my phone skills indicate that I am the most underrated drunk!

This fall's shipments began going out this week!

Rum and creme de cacao, probably the most underrated drunk in the country!

They do more than "act" like criminals. Ghoulston's only problem today is that he forgot he wasn't wearing a facemask and could be identified.

For purely personal reasons. It was my sophomore year and had lots of high school friends from MSU visit for the game. Needless to say, I didn't get sober until Sunday night after they finally left.
|3 years 7 weeks ago||4 Games||
I especially like we have played 4games and have 5 wins!
|3 years 8 weeks ago||Two home games||
What the hell am I going to do with only 2 home games in the first 6 weeks of the season??

As an 81 grad, alcohol was definately allowed in the late 70s and early 80s. As noted elsewhere here, when we ran out, one of our group would leave at halftime and return with a grocery bag full of booze (yes, one could also leave the stadium and return). As the 80s went on, things changed. I recall one big change being a prohibition on glass so we had to premix drinks in plastic containers (e.g. vodka in an plastic orange juice bottle). I'm not sure when the alcohol ban went into effect but maybe right around 1989.

I am proud of most everything the University of Michigan stands for and, on Friday, was especially proud of my oldest daughter as I helped her move into her Ann Arbor dorm as she starts her freshman year!! (On a weird note, she is living on the same hall I did my sophomore year)
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Agree||
I too was there (sophomore year). The hilarious part is my friend left the stadium disgusted we would only tie Indiana. He missed one of the biggest plays of our generation. As my daughters wold say, "haha."

Frasers on Packard is a great spot with easy parking. More townie than student hangout but a classic Ann Arbor hangout. A bit of a long walk to the stadium but doable.

Let's face it. The highlight of Corso's career was catching the "fumble" that stopped the clock to set up Anthony Carter's touchdown.

Also, its fun to see that the list of radio stations comprising the Michigan network includes Toledo, while a quick review of the list for Ohio reveals no Michigan-based stations.

I have a bottle of 20 year old Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon that is not to be opened until we finally beat tOSU. I'm getting more confident that it will be opened sooner rather than later. Mr. Dohrman is welcome to the first glass poured from the old dusty bottle!
|4 years 3 weeks ago||Please, anything other than Big East||
Big East pedigree DCs haven't been working too well lately. Rather than Casteel we should look ideally to the Big Ten for people familiar with facing Big Ten type offenses. It will cost $$ but I, for one, am willing to pledge not only $1 but even as much as $2 for each of my season tickets during the telethon!
|4 years 3 weeks ago||"Rich Rod's later WVU teams played excellent defense."||
True, but the Soviet Union once ruled over Eastern Europe (as all good communists know).
That said, I defer to the excellent points made on both sides above. Now that I have calmed down from Saturday I agree that RR should be given one more year but, dear God, if defense doesn't improve dramatically that has to be the end.
|4 years 4 weeks ago||True -||
- but, 217 points doesn't raise an eyebrow?

I got into M Law at the ripe old age of 35 and wasn't the oldest person in my class. Apparently geezers also contribute to the diversity of a class. I honestly don't recall my LSAT score but had decent undergraduate grades from U-M LS&A, but not spectacular. I'm sure my age actually was to my advantage. By the way, it was a kick sitting in the student section again after 14 years and I was mistaken for a professor a couple of times.
Overall, a great experience and the best career move I ever made. Keep in mind though that the market for attorneys has changed in the last couple of years - I graduated in 1998.

Let's not elevate little brother's self image any more than we have to.
|4 years 7 weeks ago||Fraser's Pub||
Agree. I took my daughters there at about that age and it was fine. We still stop by after games sometimes. Great atmosphere. Kids will enjoy the crowd especially if they are into the Blue.
|4 years 7 weeks ago||Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon||
15 year old. I have a bottle of 20 year on the shelf that is not to be opened until we defeat OSU. Let's hope it doesn't see 21!
|4 years 8 weeks ago||Indiana||
Totally agree about the AC catch. I was an undergrad and we always sat/stood on the top row in the student section so friends could find us. My roommate was soooo disgusted that we were about to tie Indiana he stormed out of the stadium and was staning outside yelling at us to join him and that we were idiots for staying. We were yelling back that M had the ball and was moving down field. Needless to say, he missed one of the biggest plays of my generation. Ho, ho!
|4 years 8 weeks ago||Last Year||
As evidence, just look at last year's game in Ann Arbor and the horrible amount of those god-awful colors in the crowd. That CANNOT happen again!
|4 years 9 weeks ago||49 - 12 Michigan||
49 - 12 Michigan
No field goals by M, maybe a few by BGSU. Also, while not trying to run up the score, Tate and Devin want to show what they can do in the second half.
|4 years 10 weeks ago||Thanks!||
In the spirit of things, I'm going out to celebrate and drink a few sidecars and maybe a gin rickey or two!
